  1. If it isn't Okada/Omega at Wembley I'd be disappointed. Kenny must be further along in his recovery than we think if he's taking hits like last night. Also, I wonder if the Chuck Taylor thing is real or not, no one seems to know.
  2. I think the theres not much between the women's divisions in WWE and AEW tbh. Not that makes either of them particularly good. I do feel that WWE have made more stars such as Ripley and Belair but outside of their top talents you're lucky if anyone else gets more than 5 minutes on any given show. For TK I'm surprised it's taken this long for him to use his NFL connections for some coverage. Definitely one way he can at least attempt to fight WWE's PR advantage. I don't know if anyone has listened to this segment from VOW but it really lays out WWE operates when it comes to the media.
  3. If you're looking for good acting in pro wrestling then you might be in the wrong place. Personally thought it was quite funny and I'm interested to see where they go with it especially as they've advertised Omega for next week.
  4. Danielson might just possibly be the greatest of all time.
  5. He was a known forum poster back in the day I'm sure. More just saying that although Twitter is a bit of a bubble it is a bit wild how much money there is for people to be made on anything negative towards AEW. Like Cornette or Bischoff I guess but there's more put there.
  6. I'm pretty sure the Tony incident was something completely different. But yeah, daft to air it but suppose they just wanted it out there. They're fighting an uphill battle though as no matter what they do everything will get taken in bad faith and be ran into the ground by all the sort of usual grifters about.
  7. I was expecting the Usos Match to be bad but was holding out hope it wouldn't be that. Have always thought they were quite boring as tag wrestlers and neither have been singles wrestlers for long so not surprised it didn't work. Gunther/Zayn was the best match on the card. Ladder Match was your typical multi man match but still enjoyable enough. Main event took so long to get going but the closing stretch was enjoyable.
  8. Apparently it's just Perry and Punk. Don't know how legit the account was but apparently there was an eyewitness who said Punk applied a choke and Perry got out of it easily. Probably use it as a vehicle to bring him back as a member of the elite.
  9. Yeah the sooner The Acclaimed and BCG thing ends the better for everyone involved. With Trent's turn I imagine you'll have him and Cassidy at Dynasty which you'd think Trent should win to give him some momentum. Overall, the show was above average thought all the matches apart from the White one were decent enough and a good promo from Willow as well. Interesting that Mercedes seemingly won't be wrestling til Double or Nothing, assuming she's not fully cleared as of yet.
  10. Only ones I feel bad for are Dasha, Henry and José because they actually got used. Couldn't tell you when the rest of them last appeared on TV.
  11. To no real surprise, Danielson - Shibata was pretty good. Card for tonight looks good, they're going live for 3 hours with Dynamite and Rampage back to back due to NCAA basketball I think. Think it would be interesting to have Okada absolutely destroy Kingston similar to Lesnar and Cena at Summerslam. Other than that I'm sure the I Quit match will meet expectations.
  12. Well, I suppose this might be some divine intervention. Also Tony is an absolute madman...
  13. Genuinely think it was a good idea to debut Okada like that as a heel. They've immediately set up a bunch of matches as well through the suspension and firing of Hangman and Omega as well. That Darby promo was a bit foreboding but, hope he makes it back in one piece.
  14. Just finished watching it there. Might be one of the best PPVs they've ever put on. Only couple of misses for me were the scramble match and the woman's title but I felt the latter was harmed by the crowd being tired. I know Ospreay isn't for everyone but if that's going to be the standard for the top of the card going forward then I am fully on board. On the main event I felt everyone played their roles to perfection and made it one of the best send offs ever. Darby is a madman btw.
