Prometheus - 5/10
Was looking forward to this but was left a little dissapointed. Bit of a predictable storyline, too similar to the original Alien films and I know it's supposed to be a 'prequel' but thought they could have changed it up a wee bit.
Only highlight for me was Charlize Theron in a tight fitting spacesuit.

Ben Kane- The Last Legion. Brilliant Roman novel for anyone whos interested in that stuff. Set in 80-60BC when ceaser is taking power for himself and conquers gaul, the charecters to follow in this have all been taken into Crasus doomed legion in Parthia. Following the lives of a Gaul, a Gladiator and a Soothsayer. Great twist halfway through, very enjoyable read looking forward to book 2- Silver Eagle. 9/10
Really good trilogy this. Thouroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
Would also recommend the Eagle series by Simon Scarrow if you liked this trilogy. 10 books in the series so far about 2 soldiers in the Roman legions.

Watched 'Avengers Assemble' at the weekend.
Sucker for a super hero type movie and overall thought it was quite good. Only complaint is that the final large battle scene could have been longer. Took 2 hours to set up the battle and it was over in 20 minutes.
Overall 7/10

Watched 'IP Man' on Film4 last.
Based on the Chinese martial art master Yip Man, grandmaster of the Wing Chun style of Kung Fu.
He's the guy who taught Bruce Lee and many others.

After the aberration that was the Crystal Skulls, I was looking through my meagre DVD collection and came across this wee beauty.
The original French version of the film Taxi (1998) written by Luc Besson.
Watched it last night and I must say, even with the subtitles, it's a very good fast paced film and stars, then little known, French actress Marion Cotillard. 8/10

Stayed up to watch the match last night so flagging a bit now, but was worth it. Thought when Djokovic came back to 2-2 I thought Murray had blown it as I could only see one winner.
But he dug in and got the job done. Wel done Andy

Stripping titles.
I know this has been discussed before but adding my view.
Initially I thought stripping titles from Rangers was enough. I didnt think the titles should then be awarded to the runners up. Being told St Mirren had now won the league cup in 2010 would be completely flat.
However, given the attitude from Rangers fans that they will continue to claim their 'victories', I've now had a change of mind. All cups should be awarded to the runners up as a 3-0 result. The re-written league tables should show Rangers with a 30 points deduction for cheating. Removing their titles isnt enough, they should be seen as having 'lost' them. Show them as losers in every competition they cheated in. Record them as losers in the history books for ever.
This would be far more embarrassing and far more humiliating for them. A far more just punishment.
But surely they've been punished enough?
