  1. That USA game was disappointing but starting to come round to the idea that it was USA's strongest team and a Scotland "experimental" XV. For morale, we really need to bounce back vs Argentina on Sat night though. Domestically, it's European draw day at 2pm I believe. Challenge Cup followed by Champions Cup. There's one delightful scenario where Glasgow could draw Newcastle (down and back in a day) and also Bath (spa town to treat the gf). It would, however, also mean getting the French champs, Castres. I'd fancy our chances vs Castres than vs Sarries though tbh...
  2. Doing ok so far but it was an annoying try to lose. AJ MacGinty needs watching more closely. This game isn't over so we need to keep our side of the scoreboard working. That yellow card pen try was the quickest 10 mins I've even seen in my life...
  3. That choke hold was impressive though. Just for that he's EARNED a shot at The Undertaker at Wrestlemania.
  4. Just like last weekend Wales are totally bossing Argentina who have offered little and given away penalties like sweeties. Anything less than a win for Scotland on this evidence on Fri night will be disappointing tbh...
  5. You would have to think his jacket must be on a shoogly peg by now. Hopefully a battering by the All Blacks in the autumn sees him binned. Very sound points there. However, barring the defeat vs Ireland in Dublin, when they still won the 6N title, they were on a great run. The losing streak started only earlier in the year when Scotland beat them (feeling a bit smug now tbh lol). So close to a world cup where he still has Autumn tests, next year's 6N and next summer's warm-ups to get things right, wouldn't sacking him be a football-esque knee-jerk reaction?
  6. That's 6 defeats in a row for England (5 in a row if you're Eddie Jones) including defeat in the series. Then the All Blacks come to Twickers in November. It seemed like just yesterday Eddie was calling them out for a match.
  7. Oops, that's 2 tries for England now.
  8. An out of position Mike Brown is allowed to score a try. However the Bokke don't wake up until 25 mins in I suppose.
  9. Considering thete was a red card for the travel sick French that was a decent game this morning. Glad I watched it. Even happier that I watched the Ireland game. Cracking match and an Irish win means we have a decider in Sydney to look forward to. Anyways, time to watch SA vs England. Come on the Bokke! Meant to say, Italy edged out Japan early this morning.
  10. I didn't know that Marr was his club but knew he had injury issues. He's been in the perennially injured club along with Leo Sarto and Adam Ashe. Hopefully he gets a break soon.
  11. Just noticed that Greg Peterson is on the bench for the USA. I thought that he was long-term injured hence he's not been involved in the Warriors team for a while. However, it could mean that he's simply fell out of favour with Dave Rennie? Makes me think if his future's going to be in Glasgow...
  12. Agree totally. A steady ball carrier is grand but a quality No.8 should be able to break the gainline and make yardage. The likes of Wilson, Barclay (though injured), Strauss and Ashe (whenever he's fit again) offer more imo.
  13. As a Glasgow fan this win's been diluted somewhat by that injury to DTH. Having him out till Xmas would be a disaster tbh.
  14. BBC are using Canadian TV pics. If I was Canadian and watching the Edmonton Oilers at ice hockey or the Edmonton Eskimos who also use this stadium at Canadian football then I'd be seriously motion sick. As for the game we've defended well and been more clinical although Jacko's yellow card penalty try incident was a but silly. Our play from restarts is starting to slip again so some work needed there I think...
  15. Anyone else not impressed with the camera angles?
  16. The Canadian boy should have went for an early bath imho. Allan Dell could have had his leg broken. Two good tries and Jacko unlucky not to get a 3rd. The Canadians are tiring quickly and we're winning the forwards battle just now but need we need to keep concentrating as DTH can hurt us with a glimmer of a chance. Not clinical enough early doors especially with the extra man for 10 mins but improved as the half went on. Penalty at the end was disappointing. Should have bagged 3 points instead of wasting the line-out. Still a tricky 40 mins left.
  17. This Argentina side have been absolutely honking. The same bunch of guys have been on a winning streak with the Jaguares but crap it when they switch kits...
  18. SA are absolutely honking today.
  19. The NZ v France game was tight. However the ref sent the French boy to the bin for a soft high tackle when a penalty was enough. However the AB's took advantage and the floodgates opened. They lost 2 tries right after the binning so you could see the wind was out their sails. We got to see Jacques Brunel's forlorn expression that we haven't seen since his Italy days. Traditionally the French are honking away but a bit unlucky with the yellow. Oz v Ireland was a really exciting match. Hopefully the game in Melbourne next weekend will be the same. SA v England will be interesting. SA rugby in a bit of upheaval but at home. England have lost their last 4 (if u include the Barbarians game). If it becomes 5 defeats it'll be safe to say that the chariot's fell to pieces never mind just the wheels falling off. For what it's worth even earlier this morning Japan seem to have given Italy a hiding.
  20. I'm not going to lie, it's a very experimental squad so I think Toony wants to work out who can be an able depute for Finn Russell. Also, who's able to earn a place in the Scotland set-up leading into next season, the WC and beyond. If we want this tour to be a success then the newer guys such as McGuigan, Harris and Lang will have to come into this squad and perform. The Canadians have DTH as their top try scorer and pushed us all the way in Toronto in 2014. If we're to lose it'll be a bigger shock than last year's defeat in Fiji but nevertheless this could be a tricky game if our new look team don't get firing.
  21. Woops. I knew who won so stumped as to why I typed it the wrong way round. I stand corrected lol.
  22. Richie Vernon leaves Glasgow to join London Scottish next season. He's combining it with prepping for a job in finance so thinking he'll be ending his career there. Stalwart and committed to the Warriors cause imo but he was blighted with long-term injuries so it's the right decision tbh.
  23. Well you can draw a team from your own league but I think you might be right that teams from the Guinness Pro14 can't draw each other in the pools. I'm looking forward to the draw for a change. Since we won the conference and got a home s/f, I'm assuming that we'll be in the top seeds and avoid Leinster and Munster. The Cheetahs don't compete in Europe and Scarlets should be in the top seeds too. In England, Saracens beat Exeter in the final so I'd assume we'll avoid them. Montpellier beat Castres in the Top 14 final so I'd hope to avoid them too. I'd like another trip to Bath actually.
  24. Heineken Champs cup draw (Challenge cup too I presume) gets drawn on Wed 20th June. I wonder if there'll be 5 Edinburgh vs Glasgow games lol.
