I hate the fact that there are a number of clubs reducing the allocation for away fans.
Home support must be looked after first. Our problem is the stadium capacity is too small.

We must have the smallest allocation for the Old Firm supporters in the top league, so proud. Almost thirty Hearts fans for every arse cheek supporter...fucking glorious.

I kept hoping that he was going to be another Paul Hartley, making a slow start, but just never got started at all.
I'm sure he'll be fine at his new club.

He had the wages of a £1m player though over there. Why would he move to the gunts for buttons?
'Gunts', I've not read that since I was banned from Hibs net many years ago.

Accurate details of players incomes are hard to come by and even if the numbers we get are true we generally don't know whether that's before bonuses, on target earnings, or a theoretical maximum.
My suspicion is that given that United could afford him Levitt would also be within Hearts price range but the kind of money that we'd need to have a long hard think before spending and might be better spending on someone else
Yes it sounds as though Hibs value him higher than Hearts. Time will tell if it's the correct call.

I'm enjoying the coach chat.
Supporters pissed off about the lack of communication from Naismith, while the club are actively avoiding any chat from Naismith for fear of making him look like our head coach, and inviting punishment from UEFA.
Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.

I'm fucking astonished that the main stand of the new £5m 'Lesser Hampden' isn't on this thread.
Like something from Game of Thrones
It's like the stage in my old school assembly hall.

I think community orientated clubs should steer clear of promoting alcohol and gambling on the front of their shirts, but money talks it would appear.
Now if they were wearing the name of some charity on the front of their shirts, that would be class.

Are the Aberdeen and Hibs threads full of Hearts fans being utter roasters in the close season?
I think you get the odd comment from Hearts fans on their threads, but his infestation of Aberdeen fans here is truly bizarre.
Weird fascination with us, I think they could be still buzzing out of their heads having finished above us in the league.
I fear the real Aberdeen roasters will be hanging about here like an unflushable jobby for some time to come. Especially the first two Dons fans that quote this post. They're right creepy c***s.

Modern players will likely just decide he's a p***k.
He does seem to find it particularly easy to get under the skin of opposition fans. A special talent which should provide much joviality for Hearts fans in the coming season.

So general thoughts from Jambos on our new Technical Director? I'm not bowled over, but I'm quietly confident? I'm not really sure who else is out there's no anyway, no particular stand out candidate
I wasn't sure if I wanted him, possibly too much of a gamble, but every new name for manager is a gamble to some extent. I loved his passion as a player on the pitch, and if he keeps that going in his new role then I'm sure he'll get the best out of most of the players.

It would be cool if Hearts/Partick Thistle could organise a pre-season friendly at Firhill. Many Hearts fans would be happy to help the Jags and it's an excellent away day. I'm sure plenty tickets could be sold.

It was a cracking result for Hearts to be fair. Really played an important part in them finishing *checks notes* 4th.
I was meaning that it was the second time that I had watched Hearts cuff your sorry mob 5-0, classic.

If someone can explain to me, without using the words “anti-Catholic sectarianism” or “h*ns without the bus fare”, why Hearts fans are buzzing with an appointment of a caretaker manager who won two out of seven games, I’d be all ears.
It's not for you to worry about. You concentrate on wee Lee.

You can do what you like with the weegies as Hearts and Hibs fans rarely travel in numbers these days to league fixtures in Glasgow as we get a tiny allocation but I can't see any reason in dicking about with the away allocations in the Edinburgh Derby. Both sides hand each other 3000 tickets and it results in a tremendous noisy atmosphere. The marches to the stadiums from the away fans are excellent spectacle and the fixture as a whole really is a selling point of the league. It's also the only true big city derby IMHO in the league as the Glasgow one is so diminished with the 800 away fans in a 50/60 thousand seater stadium and that's not mentioning the tedious sectarian slop which turns off anyone with an IQ larger than their shoe size
I can fully appreciate that, but playing the devil's advocate here. Four out of every five Hearts season ticket holders do not go to Easter Road. They will not be affected by any tit-for-tat allocation reduction by Hibs FC. The loyalty point system which I completely support, ensures that only the most loyal season ticket holders that go to loads of away games, have any chance of a ticket for Easter Road. I expect the most vocal supporters of continuing the 3,000 allocation are regular attendees in the away support at derbies.
Hearts fans are being refused the opportunity to buy a full season ticket to ensure 3,000 fans can visit Tynecastle/Easter Road twice a year at most.
I would hate to lose the amazing derby atmosphere, but I also have sympathy for all the Hearts fans that have to make way for the visit of Hibs.
Tynecastle needs to have it's capacity increased.

What's the story with the Hibs allocation? I thought you restricted all away support to one side of the Roseburn, bigot brothers included, so was surprised to see it full of Hibs fans for the last game. Are they treated differently?
I think it's to ensure Hearts continue to be allocated the full away stand at Easter Road. I'm not sure if it will continue next season as Hell of a lot of pressure is being put on Hearts by the fans to sell more season tickets in the Roseburn stand and cut Hibs allocation.
I've no idea which way it will go. I can see both sides of the argument.

Hearts sold over 15,000 season tickets already.
I really hope we cut the arse cheeks allocation to absolute minimum.

High twenty five thousand mark would be attainable
If James Anderson is still on the Hearts board at the time these decisions are being made, I have a feeling that the new capacity could be higher. He's constantly preaching to the other directors to think bigger when it comes to the clubs ambitions.

Looking at this seasons attendance chart I think it's very clear that we have to start thinking about adding capacity to our stadium. A sure sign of this is visiting fans regularly complaining that they cannot get a big enough ticket allocation due to all other seats selling out to home fans.
Hopefully the club are looking at possibly replacing or extending the Wheatfield stand at some point, although I know there are a few major barriers to cross before getting there.

I've no idea how they count the attendances, but I do know that the Ticket Exchange was opened up for almost every game. The ticket Exchange only kicks in when the number of available home tickets for sale is incredibly low, you're talking single figures.
