I’m guessing there’s a lot of people on this thread who have never played football, when you go into a solid challenge like that it’s physically impossible to keep your foot 100% flat on the ground, if Edwards really wanted to do Halliday he wouldn’t have cared about winning the ball and just hit him at knee height, even Neilson has said it’s not a red ffs.

I must confess I've never played football at a high level, but I'm tending to trust the opinions of quite a few ex-professional football players on radio and tv over some random on a fitba forum.

He is often doing stuff like it. Earlier in the season against Motherwell as an example. It’s one of those where I don’t really have an issue with giving it back to fans that have been hounding you all game.

As for a red card, I’m not quite sure chipping the ball into the crowd is worthy of one. If he’d leathered it, aye fair enough.

As much as Morelos irritates me by giving it back to fans, he doesn't deliberately kick a ball into the faces of the fans.

Barisic took it to another level and was very lucky not to be red carded for that.

Hearts whores all over this thread like a used condom in denial that their recent performances are more down to sheer luck and official incompetence than world beating footballing nous.

Who's goal was the luckiest against Hibs?

Lawrence Shankland at Tynie beating the Hibs defense for pace to crack the ball home, Lawrence Shankland's penalty after Rocky saved a goal bound shot with his hand, Stephen Humphries outpacing your aged defence to slide the ball past Marshall, Josh Ginnelly at Easter Road smashing it into the back of the net, Lawrence Shankland taking the piss out of your entire defence before bulleting a shot past Marshall, or Toby Sibbick breaking from within the Hearts box, one two with Humphries, to run the full length of the pitch before dinking Marshall?

WFH today will be accompanied hopefully by a Hibs podcast. Hoping for some proper tears and snotters, but I think probably just acceptance. The ABZ podcast is out with a review of the skelping they got last week, so I look forward to their take on 'Heart of Mythlothian'.

And, before anyone asks, yes, I do listen to other teams' podcasts all the time. I like a broad view. On weeks like this it is magnificent.

    I do the very same.

    13% is more like 1 in 8,

1 in 6 is more like Edinburgh in general, Aberdeen was more like 1 in 3

The overall breakdown for Edinburgh Constituencies in 2019 was
    SNP:42%,LAB:23%, CON:17%, LIB:13%, GRN:4%, Other:1%

Which means that the results in that Kickback poll aren't particularly unusual at all and certainly not sufficient to conclude that Hearts supporters are more Pro/Anti Union or further Left wing/Right wing than the population at large

Of course the idea that it's possible for people to support the same football team without sharing the same opinions on politics, nationality and transubstantiation will probably confuse some readers in the west

Amusing to see the Green party percentage lower among Hearts supporters than Edinburgh in general. I wonder if the Hibs Green Party percentage would be above average.🤔😄
