We will never have much atmosphere at Hampden with 2-3000 fans and yes we do want to see Lesser finished at some point in the near future.Β  ButΒ  for now it is good to be back in Glasgow and we will settle for that for now.Β

What would be absolutely soul destroying is having to watch Morton every weekπŸ˜‰. Brutal stuff (and we had to put up with Veldman's tikki taka nonsense). Sunday league on steroids but it works for you. Don't know how you do it.Β Β

You won't need to worry you will be back in the lower leaguesΒ  sooner rather than later where your rightful place is.

We were pish today, worst performance under Davidson by a distance. One good chance with McLeish poking that 1v1 wide and aside from that we did nothing upfront.Β

Got to hope Thomas won't be out multiple weeks and that Thomsons injury isn't serious after going off at half time today. I can only assume that Ferries attempt at saving the free-kick was a direct result of the serious concussion suffered in the first half, that also had him unable to decide if scrapping or selling the injury was the right decision so he did neither convincingly.

Ha ha serious concussion shut it ya tube.

Never in doubt. Not for a fraction of a split-second were the Good Guys (Hearts) in danger of anything other than a comfortable victory.

What an embarrassment Morton are. Chucking themselves to the floor at every opportunity, praying for throw-ins to fling aimlessly towards their cast of lumbering oafs in the box. Hopefully they can be retrospectively ejected from the Scottish Cup for sullying it with their odious presence.Β DELIGHTEDΒ that I can once again forget that they exist.

There is always one fanny on this board.

Dougie's pre-match statement was completely out of character to the extent I knew we were losing the match before a ball was kicked. It was inexplicable for him to express his worry that we could be dragged into the relegation battle, and that we were three points away from our target of safety.

Big Dunc must've thought his team talk was already done for him, as he would surely have told his players to go for an early goal to cement the negative mindset Dougie had given his players.

This on a day when we could've gone into 3rd place, was almost unfathomable from Dougie. I say almost because the only reason I can think of is that Dougie was worried about making the expectation levels too high, which could make him victim of his own success. He could be looking at the board's target of 16th place in Scotland and thinking our best run in years has got us to that position and he's maybe got us punching above our weight. So subconsciously or otherwise he wanted to get everyone's feet back on the ground, and the direct unavoidable consequence was the run ending.

This is the polar opposite of him stating before the Scottish Cup Draw "We'll take anyone at Cappielow". You could see the players starting the game against Motherwell with the belief that Dougie had given them, just as you could see them start yesterday's match on an absolute downer.

I hope I'm right that this is just a one off error by Dougie, and that he get's back to his natural positive self before Tuesday's match.

Just f**k off ya knob and stop making an arse of yourself.

    Right.

    Both teams pretty pish!

Rovers need to keep the ball on the deck more, long and high balls ain't it! It's not quite anti-football but it's horrid to watch.

Now teams that repeatedly foul to break down opposition attacks and employ a similar long ball game, then trump it by again, again and again having a long throw expert taking his own sweet time to stroll the width of the park to deliver his (very good) shy is not fun to watch.

A poor advert for football all round. I don't blame Imrie (it'd be like blaming a dog for being a dog) nor do I blame the Morton team, they are effective in what they do, you play to your strengths even if it is awful to watch. Who I do blame Ian Murray, both for his set up and selection, we were poor and deserved no more than we got, a draw flattered both sides if it was possible to award no points at all for a game this would have been a nae pointer!

I talked to a Morton supporter post game who told me that was Mortons worst performance in weeks if not all season, I was glad for him as it'd be soul destroying if it wasn't.

I would say 16 unbeaten answers your last sentence quite easily.

Aye, it did. If the ref had stood up to the playground thuggery antics in the same manner the QP players courageously did, then there may have been the chance of some football breaking out.Β

As it stands, am happier to be watching our players under CD each week than ever having to endure Doug's dugs!

Yup Doug's dogs 14 games unbeaten in a playoff position in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup I know what team I would watch and it certainly not yours champ.

Despite Morton's hugely impressive form, hopefully they are a bit knackered and IΒ reckon we can tire them out on the magnificent green sward of Fortress Hampden. We looked good last week against a wonderful Pars team and the additional players have made what was a pretty threadbare and inexperienced pool much, much stronger.

Silky QP 2, the Greenock Chib Merchants 1.

Can't see them being tired to be honest extra day off will have helped also Imrie has a very fit team.

Great result that for Morton, thoroughly deserved, proper old style cup tie under the lights as a team from the league below gives the top flight side a bloody nose.

    Β

Only slightly tempered for them by their ned of a manager, Dougie Imrie acting like the snarling faced ned he is.Full time after a real blood and guts cup upset live on the telly, you've knocked out a Premiership side and your manager, yes your manager's first reaction is to run to the away fans and give them the GIRFUY gestures, what a fucking fanny of a guy.

    Β

Maybe shouldn't have done it but gets loads of abuse even on Tuesday night. I wonder if you said the same thing when Brown used to do the exact same.
