  1. Bit mixed on this

Danny is ok. He isn't as good as he thinks he is.

He'll go to Celtic or the championship and warm the bench then come back in 3 years with his tail between his legs.

Given how much faith and support this club has given him personally think he should have felt some duty to give us the final year of his contract.

I'm not concerned about replacing him. Ozturk is a better defender and Robbie and Craig will find better to partner him.

  2. Apparently had a dig at them on twitter (like previous loan player) and got sent back. blackpool maybe need to work on why players seem so quick to have a dig at them.

Comment was along the lines of blackpool kick off more than they take corners.

  3. We can't unless it's back to Stenny.

An emergency loan (31 or 93 days) would be ok I think - they don't count as "transfers"

Sure there is a few players who have done this before and played for 3 and 4 teams in a season. We won't do that until the 93 days will take him until the end of the season though and/or Carrick and El Hassnoui are back.

  4. I would guess Carrick will be back at the end of the month and we'll at that point send Oliver out on a 93 day loan until the end of the season. Win win as Carrick gets games and fit, might damage hibs and rangers then comes back to us fit and fresh at a stage he might play. At the moment he will be behind Sow, Keatings, Zeefuik and then possibly El Hassnoi and Oliver.

As for Holt. An Enigma, never got the gushing for him.

  5. McGowan signs for Dundee Utd

I think it will quickly be realised that McGowan is capable but no world beater. Will probably play most weeks but not first on the team sheet.

Remembered at Hearts as a sort of cult player as opposed to a world beater. Surprised he isn't after wages beyond SPFL but suppose he's made his money in China.

  6. The same applies to Holt, Robinson and Mckay

Not terrible players, possibly could go on to be decent SPL players however all 3 are now over 20 and haven't been able to cement a place in the team. Yes we have good players but certainly not world beaters and if they can't get in the team before them and don't want to be back up then it's no real loss.

Yes they may go on to better things but then they may not.

  7. If people think McKay is going to turn down first team football at St Johnstone to be 4th choice at Heart's people are deluded. He might be a fan but even then. I'd go as far to say he'd be borderline brain dead to do so.

As for Jason Holt he is only just about to turn 22. If we've offered him a new deal we'll be due a development fee (not clear if we have I'd hazard a guess we've offered him something).

75 first team appearences, 8 goals and 7 Scotland U21 caps compared to Charlie Telfer's lone first team appearence. On this basis any development fee surely has to be a quarter of a million pounds upwards. Knowing the SFA we will get £10k.

  8. Let's be honest, he'll never make it at Chelsea

I don't blame him for joining them, but if he wants to develop as a player, it won't do him any good playing U21 football, he would be better leaving, finding an english club in the Championship, League 1, or even coming back to Scotland. play first team football.

Look at Jack Cork, he kept getting tipped as a great young player, all Chelsea done was loan him out, year after year.

If he's on about £20k a week then it's probably as well to play for Chelsea and be loaned out every season than leave and end up being paid £2k a week by these clubs directly.

He could seek career advice from John Fleck.

  9. The fact we've allowed Beith to stay on loan until the end of the season suggests Holt and Robinson are going nowhere.

If the rumour they are both on circa 2k a week each not surprised. I'd imagine their Agents would have been laughed at by SPL and Championship clubs and not convinced either is good enough yet (or will ever be) for big money down south.

  10. He's not long turned 19.

How many of Celtic's current 1st XI are 19 or under?, What about at any clubs?

He's still very young. He'll serve his apprenticeship and will probably have to settle for u21 football or playing league 1 or 2 until/to prove himself.

  11. King has been our best & most consistent winger this season.

I do agree and King has improved massively but he's more of a consistent all rounder whereas Walker can spark games into life when it looks dead. I think the 3 wingers is probably the one position were even Robbie and Craig haven't decided who is best.

I'd probably play King and use Walker off the bench to spark games.
