Hold the f**k up, Aldi have a beer fest on?!
Have had the Glen Affric one before (and it's an exceptional beer from a brewery I very much enjoy and have ordered from quite a few times before; this 'Not-Ella' beer is their best!).
When does it end?
It's excellent and Thursday.

I've got the same selection in the fridge . I was pleased, but a bit surprised that was all they had, as in the past they've had a bit more variety.
Great minds...

Was at the Big Swally beer festival in Dunfermline a couple of weeks ago. Was pretty good, with the Vault City carrot cake beer being the best of the day (an absolute delight, thick and tasty!).
Got the Dundee Brew Fest one 8th of June. Went to this last year and was easily the best I've ever attended (limited field admittedly). Helps that I had a sensational pheasant burger and won some beer!
Got the Epicure Craft Beer festival in Perth on 29th June. Never been so looking forward to it.
Anyone else going to these or others?
My son and GF were at the Epicure in Stirling and are going to Perth.
That Vault City Carrot Cake is sublime, I have one in the fridge, have you been to either of the Vault City taprooms?

Driving round the Falkirk area is just about impossible now. Gas, electrics and water have dug up loads of the roads in the towns and villages. If you manage to find a section of road without roadworks on them, you have to swerve around to avoid the craters that make up 40% of the road surface.
Take an example - the roundabout at the Klondyke Garden Centre, which joins the M9 and heads to Grangemouth. It underwent a huge upgrade about 2 years ago, and the surface is horrendous. Potholes have joined forces and formed a posse.
I assume it's the same story elsewhere in the country but it's just really annoying the hell out of me right now that I cannot go anywhere without stopping at temporary lights or having my skeleton rattled as my car goes over what feels like railway sidings.
^^^ This.

This will presumably be updated.
Cheers.

Saw that Cliftonville beat Larne 2-0 last night. Not actually a Cliftonville fan, but that's who me and the boy went to see in January and have a wee soft spot for them now. Fancy going over for the final, any details @Jacksgranda or @hatchetman?

Any pub recommendations for Leeds City centre for after The Movielife gig on Saturday?
Northern Monk and North both have taprooms in Leeds if that's any help?

If you're looking for some other pubs with decent beer, The Town Mouse, The Mean Eyed Cat & Wobbly Duck are very good. Beer Street and Newcastle Tap are also decent.
