  1. I chose to stay in the town from Friday to Sunday had a lovely time.  Visited the club bar on Friday and met some lovely people then walked along to the stadium and was invited in for a look around.  So many great historical pics and information and a really nice ground.  The pitch was incredible and would've been impressive at the start of a season never mind the end of one.  The town really got behind the team with so many young kids sporting the club's kit.

[For me] Was a really exciting match with momentum swinging between both teams.  To get to this stage and perform really poorly would've been disappointing but the team gave it their all and were presented with a couple of outstanding chances but it wasn't to be.  By the end I was genuinely pleased for Stranraer as much as I was sorry for EK.

Rounded the weekend off with a lovely round of golf at Stranraer golf club.  Will definitely be visiting again.

I am not trying to cause in any divide with this post, more of an observation.  Up front, I admit I have very little first hand experience of the weirdness of football in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

However, to an outsider, it looks like East Kilbride FC have quite a, well, Celtic leaning. Is that a fair observation?  The manager is obviously a Celtic fan, is it correct that the owners are as well?  A lot of the comments about EK that you see on Twitter seem to come from people with Celtic stuff in their bios.

I suppose my point is that EK have a great opportunity in a town with a large and growing population, but are they at risk of alienating about 50% of their potential audience?

Honest answer, never found there to be any noticeable leanings to either team and that was part of the attraction to me following them.

To be honest, the 150th anniversary top is "the" top for me from now on. I'm not interested in spunking close to £100 on the inevitably inferior ones that will come out every year or two.

I liked how it looked but was put off by, what I considered at the time to be, the ridiculously high price tag.

One for EK fans. Obviously losing You GK for the season has been a blow, but do you think your current loanee GK will do the job going through the play-offs?

(IF we finish as LL Champions) I feel that our sporadic form makes us the least likely of the three to successfully navigate the (potentially 4) matches that dictate who'll appear in League 2 next season and I'd say it wont be down to the goalkeeper.

  5. I've been trying to get my lad a new away top for going to Germany in June and using the official SFA website as a guide the only path seems to be towards JD Sports who then only seem to have XXL tops avaliable?!  Are we anticipating the release of a new shirt in advance of the Euro's?

They could have been watching it on their phones or a laptop. They might have been soaking in the celebrations in the immediate aftermath of the Ryder Cup win.

I’d forgotten that the spurs Liverpool game was a 5:30 kick off. This makes it even worse for me as there were no other fixtures to distract them. When you say they were actively involved in discussing the incident fair enough, but they weren’t fully aware of the situation. How come some of them knew the on-field decision was offside, but the main var referee didn’t?

None of us have a clue if anyone was watching golf or anything else, but I don’t think it’s inaccurate to say the VAR ref was less than fully engaged in what was happening in the spurs match and what he was being asked to look at.

FFS!!  You're just sounding like an online version of VAR 😂  Lighten up 😇

I’ve never lived in Paisley. Was born in Paisley, raised in Johnstone Castle then Spateston when it was first built and was all shiny & new (great days - the Osprey, the Cochrane House Hotel, the tennis courts… anyone remember when they built a crazy golf course too?)… then in adult life, have only ever lived in Houston and now Cumbernauld. Will need to carry me out of Cumbernauld in a box, love living up here…. Paisley always feels like my hometown, but I’ve never lived in it. 😄🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

When did you leave Spateston Poz?

  8. Watched Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad on Sunday night.  Nice wee dual between KT and Carvajal and in the first half RS were brilliant.  Could've been 2-0 up with a wondergoal (from Takefusa Kubo) being ruled out due to an offside team mate.

Losing the equlaiser 40 seconds into the second half didn't help them and the winner came after Joselu got himself between KT and the centre half on 60 minutes.

He was pretty solid throughout and was withdrawn after about 70 mins but on that first half performance RS looked very good.
