Whitehill are old pals- Rab C, Newky, Sir Peter, Big Tommy, the Fergie Park midges... A trip to the architectural highlight of the Borders that is Womersley's Folly is a treat for all: they have a new pie hut too... #sortingoutthepriorites

Tsk tsk, smuggling glass bottles into an SPFL venue. Get them in the Lowland League! -

The story actually was that midfielder Stuart Wilson, who was leaving the club, gave his shirt to a fan. Fat cnut director and ex shite Referee Jim Renton tried to get two coppers to arrest the fan, the shirt having been passed back to another fan who had swiftly legged it out of Cappielow. GIRFUY Board. I am eternally grateful to the Morton fans who sang "Meadowbank, Meadowbank" that day. You then got to find out what a horrible person Blobby was when he teamed up with Hugh Scott and started banning fans from Cappielow for protesting a few years later. -
Aye, gets abuse from fans of lesser clubs in this Division but Beats was always a good guy as far as I'm concerned.

Zak looked not too bad in the few games I saw of him at the start of the season. Hopefully he'll be back and then we can fully assess him. Fraser Morton played in a win over Berwick early in the season and acquitted himself well. As for hoofball, most clubs in this league seem to resort to it sooner or later! The best footballing side I saw last season was.... ..Bonnyrigg Rose in the Juniors which might tell you something!

insert joke about cheap Irish labour being brought in to do the demolition job here....! -
I wasn't terribly impressed by Tena. I thought Beats was a coach so surprised at that. I'd have kept Pat despite the odd moist moment. Farid's past it. McLear was a short term signing by the look of things I'd have kept McKee. So that's only John Dunn out of the Lowland League winning team left. I liked Taylor, Shepherd, Morrison and Blues but they were just on loan. I think I blinked and missed Shields. I suppose we'll just be getting in a whole load of loans again but there's a bit of team rebuilding job on the management's hands. We'll have to wait and see whether the current management turn out to be Mr Stubbs or Mr O'Reilly.

The old man was a volunteer at the Scottish Mining Museum in Newtongrange. They had a few semi-feral cats around the place to keep the mice down and he took a picture of this one:

there's good historic stuff on the londonhearts.com website, including a lot of the Ardath team photo cigarette cards from the mid 1930s. -

Hibs legend Gordon Rae's dad Adam Rae played for Dunbar United when they won the Scottish Junior Cup in 1961. Not particularly relevant. But true. -
It looks like it. Hottest place I've ever seen a football game - southport v grimsby August 2012, Conference, Haig Avenue, bloody hot.

Best wishes for the ground improvements, sounds an exciting prospect- it's all go in Denny these days!

For those EOSL fans who are not familiar with Dunipace's current ground here are some photos from 5 years ago (Falkirk Ladies v Hibs Ladies). Actually there was a fire at the ground last year so things might be a bit different now..

needs a more simple diagram: Chris Rabbit pointing in the general direction of Henry's Cat's pocket.

I actually heard on Radio Scotland tonight that Stirling UNIVERSITY's Darren Smith was D2 Player of the Year. I'm sure he played for a team called Stirling Albion but well done to our old East of Scotland/Lowland League opponents on their election to the Scottish League, I didn't know Shelley Kerr's influence was so great!

They're fairly unsung, they're one of the less objectionable clubs and their soup isn't too bad so while Mo fans get rat arsed tonight here is John Sheran with the Division 2 trophy 34 years ago: -
a secret Clyde fan perhaps....?!
