    Premiership Blackjack - Copy.xlsx

Hoping that link above works, if you spot any mistakes let me know. (not the spelling ones though, they don't matter)

@witchfindergeneral @johnnydun @Munoz and @Lalo currently in the lead with 3/4 scorers and 5 goals.

    @Spikethedee @Der Panzer @CM. @Doonhame Buddie @Mark scott @topcat(The most tip top)

you all have either Vente or Cantwell. Pick a replacement, as per the rules, they must not have scored yet and 1 player per team.

If anyone else's pick has left the Premiership without scoring, let me know.

Cantwell swapped for James Forrest. I don't believe he's scored yet although could be wrong.

Just like to point out that Hamilton has played most of his career at RB. He has been used as a CB at Stirling, Berwick, Edinburgh and Clyde under various managers but maybe McCall does see RB as being his “natural position”? I don’t know, but him playing there is not as baffling as it may seem.

Just baffling in terms of how colossal he was at CB last season keeping us up. I have no doubt he can play the position and play it well but would much rather have him in the middle.

  3. Strange comment to make re Hamilton aye. Thinking further into it does that mean Hamilton will be at RB from now on whether Houstons fit or not? Or if Houstons his preferred choice at RB is Hamilton seriously going to be sitting on the bench?

FWIW I thought Hamilton was excellent at RB against Thistle but as others have said he's clearly our best CB (I don't know enough about other teams to confidently say he's the leagues best) and should be starting there every week.

Said something along the lines of wanting his next move to be abroad but so far there's been no concrete offers.

I took it as that he'd like to play abroad at some point, not necessarily his next move. Picking hairs I know as after all at 32 and being as injury prone as he is, his next move might very well be his last one.

That should be it for him and Scotland but something at the back of my mind is telling me that he might still be around the squad as a backup/last resort for these games, especially with Ferguson still out and McGregors sudden retirement. And SC's loyalty to some.

  5. Hills have certainly been generous in this market this weekend.

Also had a ladder on Clarkson at ridiculous prices before they plummeted resulting in nearly £70 profit for cashing out bets after seeing he was injured that would've just voided had I left them.

The only reason I can think is that he’s more of a defender than Houston, and Forfar went with a decent left side of Matty Allan and Ross McLean. Maybe it was to counter that?

Disagree with it though, unless Houston was carrying a knock.

Wasn't at the game but was surprised to see Houston named among the substitutes, would've thought him and Robson would be key to the way we want to play this season giving the width with our wingers being more inverted. Perhaps just managing his game time as had injury issues in the past and like you say possibly carrying a niggle given he wasn't involved at all against Thistle.

Disappointing not to get off to a winning start but a point and a clean sheet at a venue we have a poor record at, will take it and move on.

Goals just popped up on my Twitter - Lee Connelly looking like a fat little man but what a volley

Main question is about the 5th though, who the f**k is that guy, he’s absolutely humongous. Jan Koller’esque. Jesus

That's Dunachie, natural centre half playing up front last couple of games

  8. It's obviously easy to say at full time but I always expected a comfortable win as Edinburgh are that bad, it's good to actually deliver it though and in emphatic fashion in the end. Cuddihy of all people getting on the end of a few corners was surprising to read on the twitter updates. Speaking of corners it seems that we'll finally be a threat from set plays for the first time in years. Goal threat all over the pitch too rather than relying on one good striker among a team of duds delivering the lions share.

One part of me is saying having 4 players that can play CB is enough and another is saying that we look a bit short there if there's potentially going to be games McKay will be in midfield and Dunachie up front. Squad of 20 just now I wouldn't mind adding a CB and a striker from Falkirk to finish things.

Help us out here Montrose fans.

    Where is good to park?

Given the weather forecast, does any of the terracing have a roof? I’m assuming the wee stand is for home fans only.

    What are the pies like?

Where’s good for a pre match pint?

    Cheers.

You'll get more of a response to all of those questions on the Montrose thread.

Any time I've been to Montrose we've had access to the stand. Terracing behind one of the goals is covered and certainly used to be unsegregated but unsure nowadays.

Looking forward to the game on Wednesday. Edinburgh look a team down and out (already) and Clyde are looking on the up. I hope we lineup:

    1. GK Kinnaer - reliable keeps
    2. RB Houston - can attack and defend 👌😎
    3. CB Hamilton - brick wall and captain
    4. CB McKay - composed on the ball, a set piece threat
    5. LB Robson - same as Houston
    6. CM Cuddihy - always a 8 out of 10
    7. CM Darren Lyon - seems to run the game and play some tidy passes
    8. CAM Connelly - could definitely bounce off big Logan
    9. RW Redfern - a tricky wee player, who has gelled with Houston already
    10. LW Scullion - just got a willingness to win the ball, is the heart of the team
    11. ST Dunachie - the big man has been brilliant while playing that role

Seems Dunachie was a handful up there but I don't think I'd be going into the first competitive game of the season with a defender starting up front ahead of 2 (could it be 3 if the worst kept secret in world football is confirmed beforehand...) out and out strikers.

Annan like Spartans I missed a better price on earlier in the week so just left them alone. Could've turned out some day if I wasn't a lazy c**t
