  1. And if we depended on bookies we might as well not bother playing the match, and just decide promotions and relegations now. But if the bookies inflate Falkirk's confidence further that'll make the surprise awaiting them all the better.
  2. If this game was being played on a neutral ground I'd make East Fife favourites.
  3. Agreed. Theyve ten times our population, bigger crowds, bigger budgets. Just look at the size of the towns (and cities) that some of these conference and league two sides come from, compared to places like Annan, Elgin; FFS Alloa and Arbroath come from towns with 20,000 of a population. The remarkable thing is that our clubs which are so small in comparison can match them.
  4. You're absolutely right, The Solihull team were like basketball players and spent most of the game lumping the ball forward or playing head tennis; there wasnt much football in them. I remember Dunfermline fans saying Borehamwood were the same.
  5. Everything ran for that Welsh pub team; they regularly get home draws against our bottom tier sides, struggled to beat Edinburgh City on penalties and were outplayed for long spells by Cove Rangers recently. I remember when the beat Falkirk last year - Falkirk were in freefall at the time and still dominated the match. They were completely outclassed by Ross County once they were sussed. The Killie result was a freak. CQN play anti football and are hard to score against, but they'd struggle in our division IMO. I saw the Kelty play Solihull who are a full time team who were nearly promoted to the English 2nd Division. Kelty should have won, but tired towards the end and went out on penalties.
  6. We had three or four first choice players out ourselves. Those who came in were decent squad players but I'd expect Falkirk's were the same.
  7. And here's me believing that Falkirk have gone for a small high quality squad....
  8. Forget the label, its what's in the bottle that counts. They have a strong team with a good attacking threat. They won at Tannadice and drew with Hearts in the League Cup.
  9. I think its great that two Fife teams 11 miles apart are joint top of the Division.
  10. Nice. Still doesn't make your initial comment any less moronic mind. Its a fairly standard way if pointing out inane speculation. I could equally have said that if Raith or East Fife (more likely than Falkirk) amassed 20 points this quarter that's league winning form. It's more moronic for you not to see that.
  11. The amount of goals we lost to free headers and general incompetence would embarrass a junior side, exemplified recently to Cove Rangers, Stranraer, East Fife and others -we were losing two and three goals nearly every away game since the start of LAST season. Now we have someone who can organise a back line.
  12. Oh dear. Try again If yer Maw had baws she'd be yer Paw...
  13. That's music to our ears. We've suffered two seasons of horrific defending, signed Anderson from ST Johnstone and he's turned a sow's ear into a silk purse..
  14. Looks like Us, The Fife and the Bairns are starting to pull away from the pack...
  15. I had Airdrieonians as the dark horses this season. Murray is a decent manager and you've gone full time. You definitely seem to have ambition, but something isn't clicking at the moment.
  16. Agreed, if we somehow manage to get two wins from our next 2 games, thats 20points from the 1st round of matches, which is title winning form. If yer auntie had baws.....
  17. As soon as I saw that Lloyd Wilson was reffing their game I knew they'd come unstuck against Dumbarton.
  18. I like to see the Fife doing well. (Although not at our expense). Whereas Dungfermline can GTF.
  19. OK ta. Incidentally, you mean Connah's Quay at Hampden, but I get you.
  20. You're right, I forgot about that. They also cover the Wales national team's games.
  21. AFAIK S4C have only covered matches played in Wales. (OK I know they cover TNS games which are over the border in Oswestry, but I dont think they'll cover an away match in Scotland)
  22. C'mon Thistle we need you to take this game against CQN as seriously as they will and give them the doing they're due.
