  1. This. Up until now, many Rangers fans will have looked upon the Third as a useless pub league and all of a sudden (well after they split from the SFL to form the SPL) it suddenly has some relevance??? GTF.
  2. He listened to Duff and Phelps which as history has told is insanely stupid. Once again Rangers going down the "its no fair, we are being treated unfairly" road. Gutted. Like Green really cares anyway, only interested in lining his own pockets.
  3. Surely there must be some rule somewhere whereby SPL clubs cannot be admitted if they can't guarantee to fulfil their fixtures?
  4. This was the point I made earlier. Probably not 30,000 but probably still the highest attendances in the SFL even if the mass majority of Rangers fans abandon ship, only to come crawling back later on using the "well, after a few years I was missing the big atmosphere" excuse or whatever. This is why they must be banished for good, Weedol / Roundup style. Kill the root.
  5. We should just have it Eurovision style. And now live over to Perth. St Johnstone, what's the result? Yay or nay?? We vote [country holds breath]... nay! Mass celebrations etc etc before moving over to Dundee.
  6. "What team do you support?" "Rangers" "Cool, I've never met a Berwick fan before" (Runs)
  7. Many Rangers fans are just there to see their team win most games. If they're gubbing East Stirling / Kirkintilloch Rob Roy or whoever then it'll still be the same sort of thing for them, just more goals to celebrate. Still, meh.
  8. So, to me this essentially means that they can't have Rangers in the title seeing as the current club name is just Rangers Football Club'. Going down the Airbus UK route could earn them a few more pennies though, although god knows what the Scottish version would be. The best bit of all, Rangers fans won't be able to call themselves any more. Most pleasing. No doubt that ideas for sponsored team names will be flowing on here eventually.
  9. Airdrie Utd and Airdrieoneans sound pretty similar to me so why not I suppose? Edit: Athough I suppose Airdrieoneans didn't turn into Airdrie Utd.
  10. There'll probably be a high demand for replacement F5 keys soon as well, perhaps even keyboards in general (of the computer type, not the 'we don't do walking away' variety)
  11. Allan Park is nowhere near up to SFL standard and that's not going to change over the summer even if they do have plans to build this new Calder Park ground eventually. The current pitch is also tiny and not regulation size (then again, neither is Glebe Park but only marginally) Their only chance of winning an application at short notice is to groundshare with someone, ideally Montrose with their plastic pitch, although Aberdeen Reserves formerly played their midweek fixtures at the Glebe. Peterhead like they say is also a valid option. Can't imagine they would even entertain the idea, but Pittodrie would be a good laugh! Cove Rangers to become the new Gretna then. Would be hilarious if Cove finished higher than Aberdeen at some point in the relatively near future.
  12. Never quite thought about where that was taken at the time, sincere apologies (genuinely never realised it was Tommy Burns' either, even though I should) . Was searching for the one in tears at the Celtic game but that came up instead. Moment of stupidity, I agree. **hangs head in shame gif**
  13. You know something good has happened when the number of users on this thread hits the 400 mark.
  14. Yesterdays celebrations at Aberdeen's Castlegate for the Olympic torch will be nothing compared to Rangers imminent death.
  15. My other half's dad is a stillman there, so I get an awful lot of the 1998 / 94 reserve for free.
  16. Zingy from the EDF adverts: What the hell is he meant to be? So far I think he's just Mr Hankey's cousin or something.
