Most of QoS's regular contributors on P&B were probably in attendance that day and should be able to speedily confirm.
I think you're on to something here. I've spotted at least two with rattles on them at the Turnberry end.

Who would have thought that we had the same groundsman in the late '50s?
Pity that the trees are obscuring whether my old home in Hillfoot Avenue had been built by then. Think that it went up in around 1959?

Note they also charged 3d more to sit than the others!
Still a bargain. Adjusted for inflation, that's about £6.50 compared to the £19 they're charging next season.1 -

First off. Its Warddykes.
Secondly. His grammar is more akin to Timmers or Mayf.
Obviously didn't have Mrs Kemp as a teacher.

Was excited when I saw that on Twitter as I'm in the country on 29th. But am in Liverpool and I doubt I'll be able to get up the road to Greenock by 3pm. When are the League Cup games likely to start?
Weekend of 13/14 July.

My sole appearance at Ainslie Park this season put me in mind of our Irn-Bru Cup Semi Final away to New Saints in Oswestry in 2016. You knew you were at a club where good things were happening but there was a tangible lack of passion and atmosphere.
It seemed more of a project than a football club with a tradition and support base to match. Hopefully that will come in the years ahead.

Really odd stuff. I'd politely suggest that, in order to win a game you've lost 2-0, you'd probably need to muster more than one shot on target. In fact, in order to win a game nine weeks out of 10 you probably need more than one shot on target across 90 minutes.
Surprised Mr Raymond McKinnon didn't just blame the wind like he did when we routinely defeated his Dundee United teams. That was surely the easy option.
Can't believe that you've forgotten that the grass was too long as well, for that first United defeat.

The surprising aspect of this result is that on the Monday before this match, Saints played Celtic in a league game at Love Street and lost 5-0.

I've just noticed that James Graham is from Lewis. Anyone know if we've had any other player from a Scottish Island?
Johnny MacKenzie, ex Partick Thistle & Scotland cap, I think.

If this ends in a draw why don't we just accept we're equally pish/doomed, merge the teams and call ourselves "Dumb Clyde FC"? Might as well combine forces to become the shit powerhouse of Scottish football?
Resurrect Jim Duffy and bring him back in as Director of Fucking It Up. We could maybe convince our Mystery Benefactor to build a luxury bar/restaurant on top of 'The Rock' overlooking our newly renovated Stadio 'Dumb Clyde' Olympico?
Dare to dream!
It's been attempted before (1971 or thereabouts), although it might have been more of a takeover than a merger iirc.

I’d still be emailing the SLO to ask him to find out what the f**k is going on!
I think they'll maybe have just cut and pasted the parking arrangements for the Rangers match by mistake?

Another good point on Saturday. Let’s keep them coming. Bit disappointing with other results, but we just need to concentrate on ourselves.
I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I am better off staying away. We seem to pick up more points when I don’t go.
Speaking to a guy at work this morning and he said he seen 4 of our players at a service station on the way to Dumbarton in a car. Do the players not get buses for away games?
There was a team bus, but quite a few of your players also arrived separately by car shortly before the team bus.

I take it Elgin have the wind advantage in this game or are we rank and unable to create anything?
No, Elgin will have the wind in their favour in the second half.

Fingers crossed for a result today.
Is that Robert Jones who used to play with us on the bench for Elgin?
Yes.
