I'm the drivers brother in law. The page has been set up by a friend of Waz's sister, so its all above board. He's been overwhelmed by people's best wishes and generosity.Dpd driver got stabbed in Hamilton today by some jakeball. Total shame, guy is sound as f**k - waz his name is, he's done almost all Dpd deliveries I can remember.
Anyway, someone has set up a gofundme for him, and it's about 4k already. What I want to know is, how do gofundme make sure the money gets to the correct person in this type of situation. I wouldn't mind chucking some notes in but I'm loathe to do so if it's easy scammed. Anyone know the answer to this? I suppose this should be in the quick questions thread but the gofundme is on fb and it annoyed me a bit, so here I am. It doesn't look like the page owner actually knows the guy

Needing some advice regarding these boxes, when I bought mine a guy gave me it fully set up with Wookie and all the options were there and all I had to do was click exodus or whatever and it works.
My dad has just bought a box on my advice and the guy at his work has just sold him it with no build included on Kodi. To say he is useless with tech stuff is an understatement. The only problem is I am not very clever when it comes to these boxes either as mine came pre set up.

Completely disagree, the safety stance is not a load of pish. How many passengers get trapped in doors, in driver only trains? The current system of using steamed up/dirty mirrors is an accident waiting to happen. Even using external or in cab monitors only gives the driver a limited view of the platform. I work driver only and with a guard. I can assure you working with a guard is much safer.

The RMT are being disingenuous by claiming that this is primarily a safety issue when 60% of scotrail services currently run with the driver operating the doors just as safely as they do with a conductor operating them and have done for the past 30 years.
Conductors will retain the same terms and conditions and the same salary but with reduced responsibilities, the only difference will be that future entrants will be employed as ticket examiners rather than conductors. Maybe the RMT is concerned about a reduction in income from subscriptions due to the lower salary scale of ticket examiners.
