All the teams we could be up against in the 4th round of the Scottish Cup. Would you prefer a home or away tie?

And from the list who would be your preferable choice of opponent?

    Boring answer...Home draw....don't care who it's against.

hoped he would come back to us as well, although Brian Rice used him sparingly to say the least. There is definitely a player in there.

Agreed there is a player in there but IMO the reason we haven't got him back (In fact wasn't he recalled by SM) was he spent so much time "warming the bench". Premier league clubs loaning out players want them to get game time/experience &, unfortunately, Offord got neither last term with us.

Potentially yes, but I'd far rather we got the vast majority of the squad signed up ASAP.

Definitely....pre-season can only be 2, maybe 3, weeks away with the start of the season in mid July. Early signings give the manager a chance to work out his starting choices/team shape etc, etc. rather than leaving everything to the last gasp.

hearing that Durnan is leaving , Not on holiday but permenently

    Will we miss him  ?

The Fire Service work patterns mean he'll miss a lot of games; training & tactics sessions so I'd be inclined to say "No, we'll not miss him".....it'll free up a wage for someone who's available all the time.

Anyone now starting to fear that no more signings are coming in?I have heard from two or three people that Rice has no intention of bringing in a left back,if so,that's just about the worst outcome we could have had, along with the possibility of no goalscorer coming in either. How could we fail to deal with the left back situation two seasons in a row.Thats surely incompetent.Really hope that's not the case.No left back arriving means we continue  playing our best players out of position.

Not too worried yet. No point bringing players in just for the sake of.....unlike what appears to have happened this time last year. It's possibly, also, true, that Brian Rice's hands are tied a little (financially) again a result of last years fiasco.

I do agree a left back & a striker should be top of the shopping list.....a LB will possibly be a lot easier to find than a striker though.

Doesn't the loan window stay open 'til the end of September so, if that's the case, we've a little while to go yet.

  7. If Durnan has started his fire service training he'll be working 4 days on; 4 days off which is the same shift pattern he'll work once "on active service".

Young lad, who lives near me, & who is a firefighter confirmed this a few days back.

The reason for the shift pattern while training is to get them into the routine.
