  1. He did play in midfield, dont know how attacking he was though. If he signs I think it will be because he can play 3 different positions more than his actual ability

agree with that Mr X, A think the game i seen was Ayr v Hibs and it looked like he was the link up player from midfield to the two strikers but could be wrong.

Edit to say 4 goals from 29 games last season.

  2. It's not about guilt. I am merely pointing out that there's a human cost to this decision.

Even if we survive there's no way you can pay full time wages in the Third Division so there's about 20 players on the dole for a start before you start thinking about backroom folk.

all other 3rd division teams will be paying part time wages cause they are living within there means and will be a good starting point for Livi.

  3. They'll being paying wages at a level of the division lower than theyre playing in, while enjoying the revenues from the higher division. If they finish bottom and end up relegated, they'll be exactly where they are now, but in a years time.

That's the way I see it and if they could have the they can hang on in till the window at January then that extra finance could pay for to strengthen there team.

Rankine and co have just payed Massone 50k do you really think they will walk away?

  4. Just been on radio scotland Livi have to get 75% of the votes for to get the rule change.

Airdrie will not be happy Cowden will not be happy so that could be 2 lost votes for starters so its not all over yet.

edit because a was burning ma tea. :(

Can't remember who it was that was speaking on the radio but he did say he had spoken to a few chairmen and they were fed up and pissed off with the whole Livi thing. Airdrie,Cowdenbeath and Clyde were teams that were mentioned for likely to vote against. he said that the matter was not finished with as Livi will get some sort of sanction. no point fining them they have no money likely to get a points deduction.

  5. Don't know how much Livi would have received after the police, stewards vat was paid but something is better than nothing.

There were 130 Livi fans at Palmerston yesterday by the turnstile readings. The 108 figure floating about the press came when one of the journalists actually counted them at one point.

Livi haven't received anything yet but in the next week they'll get a chequefor 40% of the net proceeds (after VAT) which is how it works. The bills for running the game are the home team's problems and they keep an extra 20% to deal with that. If that means an additional profit, great. If it means a loss, too bad.

I don't think Livi will be remaining in business or going under on the strength of their share of the gate yesterday anyway!

Cheers S,D I often wondered if cup ties were split down the middle or not.

  6. It's not looking good.

Only 108 Livi fans at Palmerston yesterday, which hardly swelled the receipts to what the interim manager would have wanted. Allied with that, there is a complete misunderstanding amongst the Livi fans about what they should be doing now that McGruther has found out just how bad the finances are.

Don't know how much Livi would have received after the police, stewards vat was paid but something is better than nothing.
