  1. With regards to the stream yesterday, we have now streamed more 70 games home & away live over the last 2 years & on the whole we have had very few complaints, certainly far fewer than clubs who use pixalot have by all accounts. There were no issues with the stream quality yesterday so I suggest that those who struggled with the quality check their own broadband. We will however review the footage from yesterday & if we need to make some adjustments on how we film, we will! One thing I will make no apology for though is our commentator Daniel. He brings an excitement to what sometimes can be a dog of a game & if you don’t like it then mute him. He has been brilliant for us over the last 4 or 5 years & hope he still wants to do it for the next 5 years. I enquired if Dumbarton’s commentator Fraser would like to do co-comms yesterday but he had other plans for the game. Hopefully  we will be able to do this later in the season.

There is a lot of time, expense & effort goes into our media output & I would thank all who assist with it.

  3. Ref said he was playing 5 mins added time as there were 10 substitutions @ 30 seconds each BUT

Partick made 3 at ht so no added time there, EF made 3 on 63 mins + 73 & 77 mins

PT also made a sub on 63 mins with the EF triple one & one on 69 mins that equates to 2 & half mins

i like this ref but last night he just got it wrong! Fair play to PT they kept going right to the end & on the balance of play probably deserved an equaliser but that was gut wrenching!

  4. Calmed down a bit now so reflecting on me the best zip-zip games you’ll see. Could have have lost it & probably would have had Brett not saved the penalty. No doubt the big decisions went against EF today. It was a penalty but no more so than our claim & in truth the last 15 mins were a joke in terms of big decisions. The decision not to apply advantage for the chalked off goal ranks as one of the worst we have been on the end of this season. Still on to the Super Mo on Tuesday

  5. Sincere apologies from everyone at EFtv for today. As I said at half time our website is hosted by GoDaddy & their server just didn’t work. We could not even access the website to let people know what was happening so were relying on those who emailed us passing on information. It might not look like it to the end user but the issues we have had have not been the same twice, it is something different every week & truth is it’s wearing  us all down!
An hour on the phone to godaddy even as the game was going on & they couldn’t fix it. The really disappointing thing was that the stream worked perfectly today but some couldn’t access it. It looks like Sunday will be spent on the phone to godaddy & I just hope we can get this fixed before Thursday night.

  6. Sorry to interject here but I thought it would interesting to let you know about the artificial pitch at Bayview. This is now our 3rd year (4th season) we have been playing on it & the vast majority of user say it is as good as it was when first laid. This is not by luck though, our pitch actually gets more maintenance than our much vaunted grass pitch, around 9-10 hours per week but even with that we would be looking to have the surface relaid in 6-8 years. Synthetic pitches will struggle to pass SFA testing after that time scale. Without that maintenance our game yesterday would have been in doubt as our grounds man did his usual Friday work (yes on New Year’s Day) and scattered the prefrost salt. That plus the fact that we had a junior game kick off at 10am meant that any frost was broken up ahead of our game. We are similar to Montrose in that it is a local charity who maintain & lease the pitch so that financial burden has been taken away from the club. The whole project though would not have been possible without a £350k grant from Fife Council & £50k from the SFP. We were also fortunate that our drainage system was ideal to use with synthetic pitches so a lot of money was saved there.

Meandering a bit now but getting a good synthetic pitch is major financial investment for any football club.

FFCTV weren't there to make any.

One of the East Fife TV guys said they would interview our management for us after the game. No idea what happened to it.

Unfortunately David McCracken did his post match interview with the press as we were filming our own interviews so didn’t get him. I see from your match report that we cheated yesterday by not only having Brett Long in goals but also the Montrose keeper too! 😊

A one sided game but East Fife should have scored a lot more goals. One complaint about the commentary. Could you please stop shouting when East Fife get near the opposing goals. The dogs still trying to recover.

You should try sitting next him! I’ll never ask anyone to curb their enthusiasm

I would need to watch it again: but the player coming back from being in an offside position, if he then touches it in the other half, then he becomes "actively offside" and the free kick is taken from where he touched it-so you can be "offside" in your own half. Sounds bizarre but so are a lot of the recent rule changes.

That is completely correct, saw Darren Young explaining that to Ian Murray at the time
