Did you hear about Owen? He didn't get in because of some visa issues but he's re-scheduling or so he says for later in the year. Maybe a Jock date will be added hopefully this time.
Any idea what the 'issue' was for not getting a visa?

Excellent! I've e-mailed his record label too and got a friend too to email them spam the shit out of him.
He'll end up boycotting the whole UK probably cos us mad Jocks.

He played a few years ago and seemed to only play England and furthest north as Leeds. Sure if he played Glas or Edinburgh even like the 13th Note Cafe it would be a sell-out.

I really like Enemies. I love also how short their songs are. Sometimes feel that a lot of that music goes on too long e.g 8minutes etc at times.
Been listening loads recently to Toro y moi, Chromatics, Youth Lagoon and Japandroids new one.

I've not. My pal went to see Joan of Arc but not Owen. Did he play in Scotland? You must have been the coolest cat in the crowd at that age!
Defo need to go to this next gig even if it's England and just splash the cash. Would love to see him live.

Nice one. I'll e-mail Polyvinyl too and my friend said there were a few 'Come to Scotland' posts on his facebook update so maybe he will. I don't think he's played up our way for years. Just seems to play places like Brighton, Cardiff, London - maybe the costs I suppose.
Was quite happy too as I'm skint right now and fancied going so hopefully he'll be back sum...

That Kozelek documentary looks good - Did you buy it? I'm hoping to see it soon.
I just came across a band that I think you might like, they did a split ep about 97-98 time and I think they only did 2/3 songs before disbanding, but this song is excellent and I can't believe I found it on youtube!

That'd be something else if somehow Braid came and even get US football to reform to top the bill off.
I'll probably do the same even if skint. I'm away to email Polyvinyl and I'll get someone I know (who listens to Elton John of all things) to e-mail them too. Just he has a cushty job and it'll give him something to do.

Yeah, haha we are few and far between I think (Owen/American Football fans).
Last time he came to Europe. I think he only played England (out of the UK) so hopefully he'll play Scotland this time.
You can tell he's getting older though - not so many heart-broken songs about getting drunk and being lonely - now they are all about earning money and his wife.

Yeah, talkSHITE is hilarious isn't it? Mike Graham is good on the nightshift he really knows how to play the drunks, oddballs and nuts all of each other in a naive/understanding/Louis Threoux type way.
Collins has left - they've now got pretty much sport on all day apart from the 1-6 graveyard shift and Galloway on a Friday 10-1.
(or anywhere in Europe, I suppose). Some lineup though!
