There has been plenty of posts that are saying the Junior Cup is rubbish and clubs should focus on this cup that just doesn't bring out the supporters that Junior Cup still does despite having fewer teams and loss of most of East of Scotland teams. Back on topic Gartcairn and Drumchapel doing so well in this cup will have teams in West Premier knowing they will be very tough games come next season if both promoted as I expect.

I think Talbot had the most to lose by joining the pyramid but I think would be professional and win any play offs if they get there this season or anytime in the future. I reckon they would still take part in Scottish Junior Cup even if got promoted to Lowland League. I was very pro pyramid but the cups really need sorted out as we have two mediocre cups for various reasons instead of 1 great cup for all tier 5 and below to enter - yeah I know politics and Highland League teams don't fancy it but the cup situation does need sorted. On topic Twitter and Facebook page have taken over from here for a lot of post match chat that would have been on here 5-10 years ago.

I think Troon are awaiting SFA certification in June too

But apparently we have to scrap the Scottish Junior Cup that can still attract anywhere from 4,000 to 7,000 for the final depending on teams involved and focus on this cup only.

Vale of Clyde with the most games to play have all games scheduled in just a very busy April and May which was often the normal in the Juniors. I am guessing will the WOSFL will want all games finished by 27th May but if has to go into early June if any more postponements then would just have to instead of loads of Monday night games as we all hated them 10 years or so ago!! Once get down to 16 team leagues then be easier next season.

Just 1 point separated Vale of Leithen and Edinburgh City in the 1st season of the Lowland League back in 2013-2014. Not even 10 years later and could be 4 divisions between them. Losing almost every week for best part of 3-4 seasons will put any casual support off coming and struggle to get in players, committee and management if just a negative vibe around the place. Even if Vale of Leithen only spent say £30,000-50,000 on floodlights/ licensing after help from council and grants etc that would be a significant amount of their playing budget and may even still be paying some of it back.

Yeah you are correct 9-7 on increased relegation spots so Caley Braves voting for it could have potentially meant increased relegation although same can be said of all 9 who voted against increased relegation while tier 6 below has either 3 or 4 relegated in West / East. Interestingly Caley Braves didn't let their fans vote on the increased relegation last season which ended 8 for and 8 against but they could vote on just about anything else.

Really only Beith, Hurlford and Largs left that are top half teams without a license. Beith would get into Scottish Cup next season if win the league and probably hoping for a good run so they can get some cash in to try to go for licensing in near future.

Yeah that makes sense that some of Lowland & Highland League will now need to join us in the West & East in qualifying round(s) due to increase in number of teams. What teams will be added from next season? Troon, Glenafton any others?

There has been discussion of a split of West, East and Central Leagues at tier 5 at Meadow games lately but not seen anything online about it and asked them if heard anything about West reconstruction but they didn't know anything about it - no surprise - and my guess is probably wont happen with this new tier 5 shambles if you really must know. This is the same podcast that took everything that George Fraser said as gospel and that B teams were 1 season only when everyone else knew that of course would never be the case. The Lowland League clubs may vote for it as too many with nothing to lose & easily bribed but I am hopeful Highland League wont vote for it due to distance they will have to travel and they don't want to play Rangers / Celtic / Hearts colts and rather play teams in the Highlands.

This league is one of the most intriguing leagues in the West with 6 battling out for 3 promotion spots with any dropped points being a mini crisis for the teams like Lanark today who were top and looked a near stick on for picking up a promotion spot then after today it looks like they are looking over their shoulder and could well miss out. A lot of games still to be played though and a winning run can get any of the 6 into top 3.

I see the SPFL / SFA are trying to get 6 B teams into tier 5 along with 2 from Highland / Lowland League with all leagues below moving down a tier. Seems a shambles and really detrimental to any pyramid!! Surely West of Scotland, East of Scotland and good guys in Lowland / Highland League need to get together to stop this and create a proper tier 5 with no B teams?!

Surely time for the West of Scotland Football League, East of Scotland Football League and good guys in Lowland League to come together before it's too late and create a proper tier 5 with no B teams or is it already too late. What a shambles of a pyramid for the top teams in West and East and no wonder teams were so sceptical about the new senior league in West.

"National Conference league - from next season or season 2024-25. - 10 teams - 4 B sides (Aberdeen, Celtic, Hearts, Rangers) plus Highland/Lowland League teams. - Tier 5, below League 2 and above the Highland/Lowland League. - B teams can't be promoted. - Not SPFL governed" .Big thanks to the Lowland League teams who voted in the B teams in 2021 and the clowns that said was only for 1 season.
