  1. The keeper is not as good as Robinson ( but who is) and I sincerely hope I am wrong on that one . People have to understand that Antell following a successful keeper in Robinson was difficult in itself without the inevitable comparisons coming out. The defence ( so far) is not as good. Durnan is better than Dowie and Higgins but is out of favour and lets hope he gets back in before he wants to go somewhere else. Another imortant fact about Durnan is that he chips in with goals at the other end . Can we afford to be without those ? The Championship forwards are better so we will concede more because of that. I can't remember off hand anyone finishing as sweetly as McDonald did on Saturday . Hardly anything to aim at but still found his way past a fully stretched Antell. In summary then , its poorer goalie and defence and better opposition forwards.

One game where we concede a couple of sloppy late goals in a game we were cruising and suddenly the defence isn't any use?! Jeez give it a break and cut Dowie some slack, he's clearly a good defender!

Heard Durnan is off to Arsenal anyways, Wenger says he's still business to do as well ...

  2. Good showing from queens. Could of been more than 1 up at half time. Harkins levelled with a tidy solo goal just after the break.

Queens keeper had a steady first half but shaky in the second. Lobbed easily and a bit stuck to his line at times. Pulled off a good save from teale to keep queens in it though. Personally I'd still sign another keeper.

The introduction of wee Dan, Orsi and Lyle livened things up and queens soon put the game to bed.

Was impressed with van Zaten, Harkins and Teale for saints. Grainger and Goodwin were howling!!

Queens knocked it about very well on the new surface and started a lot of the play from the back which was encouraging. McKenna and burns had good games in the midfield also.

    Crowd of 1100 ish maybe?

  3. He was a joy to watch MT. Played the game in a cavalier, carefree style. As for Sandy Clark, he hardly got any questions made of him for actively seeking his son to get a bigger move . He wasn't even discreet about it . Could you imagine if it was made public knowledge that the rangers number 2 was trying to get a the rangers player a move to say Man Utd. Do you think the h**s would be happy about it and just accept ? Is it because we are small and don't matter ?

  4. For the benefit of any strugglers with such things; in referring to my son, I was employing hyperbole in order to illustrate my distaste for Rangers as a club.

Apologies to anyone who finds this a baffling device.

Apparently Celtic have knocked 100 quid off the season this season, that should help you out. Just need to sort out your bus money now!

  5. Some of the queens fans on here really want to get over themselves here. What does AJ owe queens? The same as Nicky Clark ... Hee haw!

He's sorted out a complete shambles and left the club in a very healthy state with a more than decent squad signed up for the new man coming in. Add in that queens are 30 grand up as well now.

For those of you questioning going to killie, lets not forget they've been in the top flight since long before Adidas poppers were in fashion and are an established SPL side. Can't fault the man for having an ambition, you wouldn't turn down a promotion at work would you?

All the best AJ ... The show will go on!

  6. On the subject of the worst keeper can I throw in John Burridge! Seem to recall us loosing 7-0 to Stirling at Palmerston in my very early days supporting the Queens and he was utter muck! If he wasn't between the sticks that day I've done him a huge injustice but pretty sure it was him. Jamie Campbell is also a prime candidate for the role!

  7. Nothing like backing a 1/66 in ur accy  Could be some of the stupidest prices Ive ever seen to actually bet on but hey atleast your winning
