Think you already know the answer. If clubs like that had any class and a spirit of Corinthian fair play they would have agreed to modify the relegation format to something sensible by now. They don't so they didn't. The crazy thing is that there's a scenario in which they both get to stay up if the LL champion is promoted and Club 42 is relegated to the Highland League. Brechin replacing Clyde would not be good news for them though.

can you clarify - if edinburgh uni resign from LL i understand they would have to join the bottom of the EOS so teir 9???

Could make a point about a possibly weakened Celtic B side for this one potentially relegating Edinburgh Uni rather than Gretna down the road but Edinburgh Uni voted for B teams so finding it hard to work up any sympathy. Different story if the Shire become part of the mix which I guess still isn't completely out of the question.

Cant remember but didnt Dalbeattie also get a good result against a weak Celtic team that nearly stopped them being relegated last year.

Unless you are replacing the whole board then I cannot see anyone wanting to be involved with the current incumbents., especially after this utterly farcical decision.

iirc the whole board is up for election in June. maybe the guy from colts is staying since he just joined but certainly the others are finished.

Thanks. So assuming Caledonian Braves = good guys...

    Wanks =

Broomhill, Civil Service Strollers, Cowdenbeath, Cumbernauld Colts, East Kilbride, Edinburgh University, Gala Fairydean Rovers, Gretna 2008, University of Stirling.

Weren't CSS good guys last time? What's happened there?

Bad asumption. Cally Braves boss is vice president of the league and clearly voted to support his president.

The year that BSC Glasgow were accepted into the Lowland League there were 7 applicants. BSC and Edinburgh University were the only two selected.

BSC picked in part because of their 3 year lease to play at Ashfield. Where they would never play.

Seven? thats not what we were told. who were they??????

I thought the three female officials today were excellent. Lorraine Clark the ref probably the best we have had this season.

We've had the same three and they were great and not surprised they are refereeing at a high level in europe in the womens game

I was sent this from a committee member at a LL club, I believe it is part of a document which Is sent to clubs after each board meeting.

    Lowland Working Group
The group met recently where it was felt there was no current requirement for a SLFL 2 and that it was important to discuss with clubs possible further promotion opportunities into the SLFL. The Board noted there could also be a rebranding opportunity should the Leagues agree to work closer together and agreed to add Increased promotion/relegation between Tiers 5 and 6 onto the agenda for the next General Meeting.

Does this mean more relegation from the lowland but no more promotion from it to league 2?????

Was told said chairman was also telling some people in the west that he was supportive of option Z and the split into LL East and LL West as a way to facilitate full SJFA pyramid entry for 2020-21 but then wasn't able to deliver the approval from the LL clubs.

still is going on about increasing size of LL and increased promotion and regelation. maybe thats why hes former chairman!!!!!!

The ground is fairly basic, but does have a wee seated stand. It's a decent place to watch a game.

The last time I was there they were selling the usual fare, pies, bovril, teas and coffees, but they're also well known for the absolutely outstanding home baking they sell.

we were there last week and they are having to use the tearooms for changing because of covid so there were no catering they sometimes get a van in for bigger games but there is never alcohol on sale.

I guess its possible. It's Broomhill and EK in the Chair and Vice-Chair roles. Pretty sure the rest are from the more traditional EoS/SoS background if I remember right. There might well be contrasting opinions on things.

If it's true i'm sure we'll hear about it soon enough.

This whole Juniors debacle is getting the SFA into disrepute. How long is it before the SFA is challenged in Court - and does it have the funds to fight a case which is unsustainable? How long before an existing Member club, outside the SPFL says enough is enough and organises a raft of new candidates for SFA positions?

very few positions are directly elected by the members only the president and vice president and you have a current president who came from tier 5 not the spfl

I'm going to guess it has never once been brought up in any PWG meeting. Going back to the BSC proposal of a WoSFL in line with the SoSFL and EoSFL and now the SFA proposal of the 4 leagues at Tier 6, I don't think anyone has ever seriously discussed mergers of any kind.

juniors stated they had no interest in taking in borders and south clubs.

Wouldn't be shocked if this was one of the factors in Glenrothes Juniors making the change. I was saying how it could be argued that East Kilbride FC and Cumbernauld Colts have overtaken East Kilbride Thistle and Cumbernauld United. History and tradition is great, but you also have to look to the next generation to keep things going.

anyone know if the east junior and east seniors have sat down and talked to each other????

The thought of bolting on Amateur Leagues at the bottom of the pyramid is a very interesting concept.  If a club finishes in first place in their respective Amateur Leagues, pressures will undoubtedly arise for that club to move up the Pyramid that previously would not have existed.

Do we know if any discussions have yet taken place to progress Amateur Feeder League links to the Junior / Senior Leagues?

If the ERJFA are to remain as a meaningful entity in the East it would be interesting to speculate whether they or the EoSL are willing or have the capacity or desire to develop Feeder Links with the local Amateur Leagues?

i think they are sort of bolted onto the pyramid because they are welcome to apply to the eos and the eos had a good record of acepting applications so they have access to the pyramid without any pressure to take promotion
