  1. I wonder if Caley will survive.

Oh, wait a minute they never survived. Dry your eyes ya greetin faced b*****ds and keep off the threads concerning ICT if you have nothing constructive to add, stop yer fishing trips for fucks sake, they are getting boring.

    :lol::lol::lol:

Ouch, someone knows he's going down.....

  2. Amusing story about the Caley top on e bay, the fella is also trying to punt it by advertising it on the ict site, saying its his pride & joy but needs must.

He bought it for £60 off e-bay off a fella you all know just before xmas. Said bloke is raging he never kept it hiself now..

  3. Alright mate,

The game you are talking about was in Feb '92 and we took over 4000 to the game at Perth, (Sorry i can't spell your stadiums name!)

That was after a 2-2 draw at Telford street after you guys were 2-0 up with 15 minutes to go, and it was a cracking atmosphere although we were well beaten 3-0.

The game led to the best headline in ages on the front of the next issue of "on a LSM" fanzine (Probe as 3500 Caley fans go missing on the A9) because the next league game against Ross County was back to around 500 travelling support.

That comeback in the first game showed just what the Howden end was all about, packed to the rafters & could not hear yourself think.

There was nowhere near the same feelings from the jaggies to the merger, basically because they were in the doldrums for a few years before this and really had nothing to offer, so most (not all) of their fans just accepted their fate.

Caley on the other hand could easily have gone forward on their own, (as proven by County, Elgin, Peterhead since who were all smaller clubs.

But the local moneymen would only give the financial support to a combined bid and our yellow bellied cheating committee decided to lie down & be fu*ked up the arse, rather than grow the balls to stand their ground and submit a lone bid.

Yes i know i still sound bitter, thats because i am. (and always will be)

I am sure the ICT fans will be on bragging about where they have gone in the 15 years but it doe's not disguise the fact that it is a soulless entity without the genuine support of almost all other clubs.

What a night that was, our bus was fuckin nuts, at one time half way down the A9 one lad, had to be dragged away from the driver as he was trying to attack him for going to slow. That lad, suffice to say no longer drinks.. after another 'incident' in the Corrie...

The night at Telford Street was class, as was the replay, as said St J were Premier League at the time, but we managed to take them to the replay, am sure that was the round after we had pumped airdrie(who were top of the 1st at the time) out on pens at Telford Street, after they stole a draw at broomfield to take it to the replay, that was another 'interesting' day...

Their was Caley all over McDiarmid that night, as our end was stacked, and also some locked outside, watching the game from a hill between the stands down the home end. I know that as we could see them from our end.. I remember one lad turning round taking a look about and saying, 'by f**k the police will be quiet in invenrnes tonight'.. :D ..

Three E before KO for me though, which meant, luckily, the game was a bit of a blur for me..... B) Aah to be a youngsta again!

  4. Firstly I would have to say that Caley could have but Thistle could'nt have. That is why the Merger was so bitter and ultimately so unfair. But, in retrospect it was a deal done behind closed doors and the fans were told - or probably directed and/or led - after the fact.

I will leave it at there but all I can say is that I was living in Lancashire and travelled North fer that game with some English mates - and they could not believe the support that night and still talk about it - It was a night of total lads and we simply rocked the place - If Billy Urquhart had headed home the late headed chance I reckon some of us would still be pished in Perth today.

We are Blue - were white - Were feckin dynamite.

It was all done illegally man, and if you were so involved in the anti merger you will know that. They NEVER got the 2/3 rds they required to transfer Caledonian FC's funds to ***, but went ahead anyways, *** should not exist, that also is fact. They also had, their neighbours, cousins, friends & families voting against us, at Rose Street that sad night, as with you being a big anti merger man yuo will know. They even made the players come in & vote & all but 2 did. Respect for them they know who they are, & i know they are real Caley men, who dont take anything to do with *** to this day.

DB(our QC) kept going at them for years afterwards, but they kept throwing more money than we could at it, hence all the court postponements until it was obvious it was futile, we were up against the sfa as well as the courts and didnt stand a chance...

Fair play to you for not letting your convictions get in the way of your 'social' life. I just couldnt do it.

  5. There are some genuine Caley fans on here and some fantasists as well. I take it that the Howden Ender is AD - the wee boy whos father asked me to look after him at away games and who I took to his first *** game in Aberdeen. I sense that the rest know me and respect me as a true Howden Ender - even if they may call me a traitor in the stand now - but I initially backed the anti merger protests and I bet I put more money in the anti merger fund coffers than most on here.

Just e mailed him aas he is banned of here, he does remember you now...

his reply - You know something, i think he did take me to Pittodrie once about 1982, ****** *********, mate of my old man from Craig Dunain. Ask him if he remembers singing The Sash in the old Beach End to save himself looking out of place & taking a kicking.

I never realised he'd become so fat! Why would he think i'm a County fan? I'm a fan of whoever plays ICT.

And most of us in the good old days followed the Bigger teams - mainly the OF and Aberdeen - and many still decry ICT but follow the **** and the ****. What really gets to me is that some - including AD - follow the feckin Tinks and welcome the gypsies on to this Memorial threads. We never hated the feckin Jeggies - they were never a threat - we ran with the Ferry and the Clachers - we hated Elgin and the Tinks - we fecked the S*****o and the Jail End on many a day - we went to the Red Shoes and the Strath to follow that up as well. Have to say that the best "crew" was from Huntly and they ran us a couple of times.
No TRUE Howden Ender would sit in Viccy Park and support the Tinks - Feckin sacriledge.

No true howdenender would sit and watch thistle, thats is FACT...

And I sang it walking down the road to Govan - what a feckin buzz - **** 0 Caley 1

Did you get yer sellik tattoo out for the boys?

  6. I did'nt think he was that bad when i was at Culloden academy,he did'nt seem to care too much about any other sports except for football, which suited me fine, although i was still shit, i had all the close ball skills of Johnstone Bellshaw. :P

By fek its a small world, theres another of us 2 real Caley fans, making up another account.:-)

Good to have you on board...

Am looking forward to May & the relegation party on this thread..

  8. Nice to see the replies to my post, which really just reiterates how much you guys really do live in the last.

I have lived in Inverness for 10 years and I find it a complete JOKE all this nonsence about Caley this Thistle that, for goodness sake you have an SPL team in your City!

However, I must also stress that as a football lover, and one living MILES away from my team Stranraer (plaese let them be saved!!)I have attempted to go to ICT gams with my two boys, who are also avid football fans. I have to say,it is the most unfriendly nonsense of a club I have ever witnessed. High prices, no half time food EVER available, terrible fans (whisper and they hear you!) etc etc. BUT I still cannot believe the apathy surrounding the club from the locals? Surely the city should be able to support an SPL club to the tune of 5,000+ fans a week, and make it a club to be proud of, not one to be mocked.

In these days where clubs are living in fear of dying your local team should be supported (and for the ecord my local team is now County!).

So my post was not a pop , just one of frustration and disbelief that folks still 'support' and 'follow' and non existent club.

Thats as far as i got. Said it all.

  9. Bumped into Barney Warren tonight in town. Don't think he remembered me. I think he thought I was taking the piss.

Threre's a blast from the past, wee Barney, he was general sweper up manny at the post office when i was their as a young postie..

Never missed a lot of Caledonian FC games did Barney, another good football man, lost to merger fc.

Oh how we are LOVING their downfall & long may it continue!

  10. Right Raybees, where did you get this? The bloody green with envy factor has gone off the scale. I'd get slight consolation if it turned out to be Allan Smarts jersey, but hell, you pulled off a scoop there. Tell us more......now

Bang on, that is a cracker, i would find it hard not to crack it open & wear it tho, as one or two merger scum in my local..

They know where i stand, and avoid now, funnily enough, my initial rant was enough, right enuff... :D
