  1. Surely the season can be played out when this madness is over !! We only have about 8 league games left and with meggetland having floodlights, games can be played midweek also. Be a shame to halt a great season everyone at Tynecastle have had so far.

  2. Selkirk will do better this year but they will get nowhere near top 4. Selkirk always start off great but die after about 9 or 10 games. They have a decent team but wait until they go to Dalbeattie in December etc..

  3. We ship goals like its going out of fashion, today was no different. They did score some really good goals however. We have no defence, all our money was punted into getting an incredible attack but we now lack a defence. Also shout out to Sludden for apologising in the social club after, takes some baws. Some players looked absolutely dejected, namely Paul Sludden, Faulds, Drew Ramsey and Barclay. Others less so, probably the ones that will be out all night on the pish.

Can't be that incredible of a attack !!!
  4. Putting aside the complexities and legalities of this situation, I find it pretty disheartening that Rovers fans can say they have little or no sympathy for a player receiving a career damaging injury whilst playing for us. Even if he wasn't a fan favourite, that's a fairly c*nty stance to take. Each to their own though.

Additionally, a large amount of Rovers fans were foaming at the mouth about players workrate levels dropping off after we had nothing to play for at the end of last season.

If the consequences of picking up an injury, like in Elliot's case, is that you're then waiting months and months on the NHS to fix you up, potentially ruling you out of earning a living for the best part of a year, then I'd suggest it's only natural that players don't give it 100% in meaningless fixtures.

Very good post, spoke to him today and the "nhs" op he is getting is happening on Monday. He's happy with that as quicker he gets op quicker he can try get back playing and earning a wage !!
  5. Elliot didn't kick a ball in 2012 after a bad injury at Dundee in December 2011. His next game was not until February 2013 when he played for Alloa. That being the case it may have been that Rovers offered him a chance to get back into full time football but the deal might have been that they would not be responsible if he broke down again. I'm not saying it excuses Rovers but those might have been the terms under which he signed.

Wrong after injury with Dundee he went to Lithuania to play !!!
  6. I'd be amazed if we were going to offer Elliot a new contract. He scored one league goal in season (admittedly injury plagued). I wish the lad a speedy recovery, and would love to see him back playing at some level, but had the injury not occurred I still would have thought he'd have moved on from us.

As I said Murray was talking to him about it. He's not going to kick a ball again until about March. Raith should cover the costs for op thou !!
  7. We did have a full time physio who was poached by Hearts towards the end of the season but I can't say I've heard of us replacing her.

I'd be amazed if we were going to offer Elliot a new contract. Murray might have but he got sacked after the same game Elliot was injured in.

Yeah he said it was Murray he was talking too about it !! I know I'm a mate but feel sorry for him. Gets bad injuries all the time. On his day a very good player.
  8. I'm good mates with Calum and have been speaking to him a lot over last few weeks. That Jason Talbot done him in a tackle and he's done his knee again of course. Raith are a shambles, they don't have full time physio !! Calum got injured playing for the club so the club should foot the bill. Duty of care ?? No !! The op private is costing £6,000. He would had been offered new contract if this never happened!!

That's like saying next year, near the end of season if boys contracts are up then they can turn around and say "sorry I can't play just incase I get injured"

  9. Lot of confusing in this matter. Grant Russell of STV claims he didn't have an agent. Someone on Twitter said the agent made the deal and that Elliot went to Livi on his own. Question is did he sign all the required papers there or no. Why doesn't livi show those papers? Should be fairly easy to so.

Obviously someone is lying here big time or sleeping very deeply

I'm saying it on twitter, different name I know lol.
  10. Not happy about this, to be honest. From memory he isn't much of a goalscorer and he's made of chocolate.

That's before we get to that YouTube video...

Calum played behide the forwards at Alloa as we all know he's not a goal scorer and was brilliant behide the forwards. You will see he can still play. He's not been injured for few years now
  11. Surely easily sorted out, I'd asusme the club have asked Elliot and his agent, then it's up to the clubs to examine the relevent paperwork. If you believe that poster Colinmc on the other thread, it looks like Elliot might have found a technicality in the Livi paperwork - something unheard of down Starks' way :whistle

    From the horses mouth lol
