  1. Premier Sports upping their coverage of the NHL this season is pissing me off. I bought Gamecenter Live to watch Leafs games and although they've not been on PS much yet that's set to change with the game at Vancouver tonight the first of 5 of their games on PS this month. Sadly PS at a tenner a month is far too expensive for me to consider on top of the much better value £65 for the season for GCL. Don't imagine I'll get to see much of the playoffs though since PS claims to be showing the majority of them.

  2. You need yourself an ESTA. They're valid for two years, cover multiple trips and are valid for a total of 90 days.

Cheers. So if I were to get the ESTA now, go for this weekend in March for 3 days, I'd have 87 days left when I re-enter in May?

I can't help you with that but I can tell you that I jogged by your avatar on the Strathclyde Park to Chatlerault path a few weeks ago.

I didn't stop for a chat as I had a good pace going and he looked a bit pissed off about something. I've nothing to qualify this but I believe it was wife troubles and he was going out for a walk to plan her 'accidental death'.

I saw a glimpse of him last season at the player's entrance once when I was in getting a team sheet. My first ever 'favourite player' when I was a kid. If only Colin Nish could jump like Falconer.

  3. I'm currently in Canada studying until the end of April, and plan to go travelling around the US afterwards, entering mid May and leaving mid July.

My question is, if I go to Chicago for a weekend in March, will this affect my ability to re-enter America in May and stay there for two months?

  4. What floor are you on? I didn't know anybody when I moved to uni, I think it's an advantage rather than a hindrance. My sister is starting AKD on Saturday and only knows a couple of people, so you're not the only one, far from it I imagine.

4th floor, west wing I think - I'm pretty sure it's a 12-person flat. I think I probably would prefer to be starting with a couple of mates but yeah, I don't see it as a hindrance. A chance for a completely new start if nothing else.

  5. I was in AKD last year and didn't know anybody when I moved - had a blast! Seriously, everybody is in the same boat as you, they'll be just as keen to make friends as you are.

Enjoy, you'll have a great year I'm sure. I move into my flat just along from you on Sunday but I have to admit I kind of wish it was halls again.

Cheers, it's quite reassuring to think that there'll be so many in the same situation - I'm sure once I've settled in it'll be great.

  6. Is anybody on here soon to be a Stirling fresher?

I am - going into first year Journalism. I move in to AK Davidson halls on Saturday, bit nervous since I'm coming from Edinburgh and don't know anyone else there.

Anyone else starting at Stirling and completey dingied?

  7. Next one is The Prodigy, Pendulum, Enter Shikari, Chase & Status and Does It Offend You Yeah? at Milton Keynes Bowl, 24th July. Should be huge, although I've barely heard any of the latter two bands.
