  1. The ball had started rolling before Massone had bought the club. I was called by the Retard to give my side of the story, I didn't call them.

Read what I've written again, I'm not saying they should have done nothing, I'm saying they could have done more to help the club but they have this stupid ideal that they could take over the club despite only raising £20k since 2004 rolleyes.gif

Typo there, I assume you mean Record. tongue.gif I don't really see what difference it makes who made the phone call, you told them your story in order to help you get your money from the club - and it worked I believe, fair enough.

Anyway, bottom line, like me I am sure you are delighted we still have a club to support and are enjoying watching them week in, week out, win lose or draw. Mon' the Lions!! smile.gif

  2. There were quite a few fans had bought season tickets but a lot didn't on the advice of the "Trust", the same ones who complain about players being sold on the cheap and the Dorrans sell on clause being sold cheaply.

I'm not backing Massone but just saying, going by the accounts and If everyone had pulled together the club could have survived in a better state than it is today.

It's even possible that he could have been removed at a later date instead of playing roulette with the club's very existence.

I ask you again, if the club had folded due to the gamble failing, do you think McDougall or Rankine would have shed any tears?

Going by your logic then MCL, should you have been more patient about getting the money you were due from Livingston instead of doing your level best to get your case publicised as widly as possible? It's a stretch, but maybe it was you who started the ball rolling ending Massone's dream by having the affrontary of asking for what you were due! laugh.gif

In reality, if the Trust and others had done nothing, nothing is what would be left of LFC right now.

  3. They refused to give him any money they had collected in return for shares despite them now having given most of their money over to the new owners in return for 0 shares.

They appealed to the membership not to buy season tickets and also wrote to the other Italians asking them to stop putting in money.

Would you have given Massone any money? Really??? blink.gif

I didn't see any appeal, although again, would you have bought a season ticket with Massone in charge running the club into oblivion?

Stop putting money in? Did they even start? sad.gif

  4. If he was reducing the debt then he must have been paying some off? I was paid eventually.

I would suggest the reason he sold on the Dorrans clause was because his income streams had been strangled by the "Trust" and others who wanted him out. No-one could survive in that case.

If the council had written off the debt as they did for the new owners, then reduced it, if the "Trust" had given him money for shares, etc, etc.

We might even have been in the SPL by now smile.gif

What income streams were strangled by the Trust?

  5. Surely though those accounts tell a different story? Looking at them there was no reason to go into admin in August as at 29th June? The year before show hefty contingent liabilities but there is no reason to suggest they had to be paid (to Massone etal?)

Soemthing doesn't add up then. I would say that Massone did not act as someone who was on top of things. Why did he not pay creditors, (not just ones from Flynn era), why did he cash in the sell on clause for Dorans for a pittance? huh.gif

  6. I had been due money from LFC for 12 months before Angelo took over so your question is irrelevant.

I didn't work for LFC while he was in charge so I didn't have any late payments during his tenure. His reason for not paying was that Pearse had hidden the debts and I and others should chase him for the money. My argument was the club were due the money and he could chase Pearse afterwards if he wanted.

I'm not saying he was doing fine. The accounts are saying that and they are signed off by Gordon McDougall.

The list of creditors that were not paid along with late or no payment to employees say that he was not doing so well, but I am no expert. Could it be that the current owners are merely the latest in the list of persona non grata on your hit-list?

  7. As was mentioned previously in the thread, I stopped working for the club when Pearse owned it as he'd stopped paying my invoices. I started proceedings to recover what was due before he sold the club to Angelo.

My action was against Livingston Football Club and not the individual owners so when the club was sold it didn't make any difference to my proceedings.

Ok, I'll re-phrase - did LFC, under the ownership of Massone, pay you on time? The point being, you seem to be saying now that Massone was doing fine, all was well, until the bad guys came along and ruined things for him. You seemed to have a different view when you were chasing him for money 2 years ago.

  8. Out of two cups, and therefore lost two income streams, before the season has really started is a disaster for Livi.

I know the usual "concentrate on the league" cliche will be trotted out but what if we don't make the playoffs? Will the millionaires stick around to keep pumping money into the club in the 2nd division? Does the "Trust" have a backup business plan?

Wow Alex, you might at least try and hide your delight.

  9. So what division would a 2nd or 3rd Division team go into in Scotland. In England that system is more workable.

The Livingston situation should have been a massive points deduction. As things have turned out the penalty imposed on Livingston has gained them a Championship trophy with a real possibility of a second this forthcoming season.

Rather than prove a point the SFL could find themselves in real trouble if a team from the bottom two leagues finds themselves in financial difficulties.

If that team is not punished with the same rule, Livingston could well sue for lost revenue .

in real terms the punishment of relegating us 2 divisions was a worse punishment than any points deduction would have been. In football terms we will start next season in the same position as we would have, however there can be no doubt that we lost revenue playing a season of 3rd division football rather than 1st division and will have a longer term effect.
  10. MCL, you have your answer, you don't like it so you keep pedalling your anti Trust and anti club views. I remember when you used to be a Livi fan. What happened, or are you one of the glory hunting brigade that every successful team attracts, but that disappear like snow off a dyke when things are not going as well. Bit sad really when things are on the up again with our club and fans are really pulling together to keep the club going. Luckily most can see you for what you really are, a sad wee man.sad.gif

  11. I see they have changed the Jackpot to be a maximum of £5,000 now - Official Site - supposedly to make more frequent winners but none of the other rules have changed.

It just means all the money taken in after £5,000 is reached will go to the club instead of being shared with the winner. It doesn't mean more frequent winners, just less of the income going to the winner.

If they wanted more frequent winners they should have changed the other rules so that when the jackpot was reached they kept drawing numbers until a winner was found.

I thought the must win part meant that it will be won once it gets to the max no matter what. I'm sure you know better though.

  12. Less than 24 hours notice isn't very good when I suggested it should be on the OS on here more than a week ago. I was fobbed off with pre and post match reports nonsense. And how can Livi fans be "reminded" of something that was never mentioned in the first place ?

No wonder I have little faith :P

Anyway, I don't need to go cos I'm sorted :D

The meeting is open for all Livi fans, so why don't you go anyway. I am not a creditor, but would not want to miss this. Delighted you have got your money by the way. :D

  13. Not sure what you mean as it's on both Livi and Dundee's Official websites that the game was off.

My point is that the meeting that the fans are talking about has never been confirmed (or even mentioned) on the OS so I doubt that the Italians will even turn up. There is no indication that they have agreed to it.

    Ye of little faith :P

    Better late than never!
