  1. Not getting the vibe for that episode here, I thought it was fucking tremendous. Absolutely love this show and it's now the only one I invest the time and emotion in. The best thing I've seen in TV in years, it reminds me of how I felt about the first few series of lost. There will be episodes where not much happens but there are episodes that are mind-blowing. Andrew Lincoln and David Morrissey have really excelled here.

I agree - while there were some moments that seemed a bit dumb, the overall episode was really intense and kept me on the edge of my seat.

  2. I think that would be a bit too obvious. I reckon it's someone else and the stuff about the wee girl naming the walkers and being a bit weird has been put in to throw us off.

I was going to post about last night's episode in the US, but I just realised I don't actually know how to do the spoiler tag properly.

I'm having the same issue - damn living in Canada and being ahead in everyone with tv shows! :-)

  3. Pwoud, vewy pwoud to announce the safe arrival of Evie Rose Little.

Was scheduled to have induction on Friday at 8am but she decided she wasn't up for that and popped out at 4.15am Friday morning.

4.38kilos which I believe is 9.66 of your pounds. Quite long as well 58cms.

Mum and bub doing well, Dad is fecking knackered!

    Yey - congrats Swarley!!

  4. I just watched last Mondays episode last night (sky plussed it)!!

I also found the scene's quite confusing, it jumped about a fair bit and left me wondering what the hell was going on... I still enjoyed it though and will stick with it!

How scary was the first scene though - was crapping it!

  5. I agree with the above. My second time was great, midwives said I was one of the most laid back mum's they'd seen. First time round I needed the epidural as I'd run out of energy.

It's mostly work collegues so I've been letting it slip for fear of being labelled "hormonal" by the guys in here! I've already had one of them make out I was a nutter when I shouted at him for poking at my bump without permission :(

  6. Hi all, I've started researching travel systems/prams (not sure if I'm jumping the gun or not, but I have time to kill!!) and the one I really like is the M&P's Pliko Pramette (http://www.mamasandpapas.com/range/pliko-pramette/2412/). I've pushed it around the store and really liek the fabric and little extras like the cup holder, but the reviews on it seem to be pretty mixed!

Has anyone used this one, or heard any comments about it that will help me make up my mind?

  7. Had a midwife appointment yesterday and I'm really worried now :(

She's just realised that my blood type is A- and that this could have implications for the baby and I'm so scared :( I know it's something that's easy managed and probably won't even be an issue... But I still can't help but worry :(

  8. H

    Yeah, that's good news SD.

Congrats Well Chick. Can't imagine the prospect of going to work in Georgia for a few months looks too good now, eh? :P

Haha - yea, that's the extra silver lining to it all :D

It kinda sucks though, as I've had to tell people a bit earlier than I would have liked to because of my involvement in the project.... ach well!

  9. We've just found out that we're expecting our first! A bit of a surprise and I'm still getting over the shock of it all :)

I have to say the constant feeling of sickness/tiredness is starting to get to me - I'm hoping it passes soon! Will soldier on though, and try ginger tea to help (not sure if thsi will actually work, but at this stage I'm willing to try anything!!)

  10. Depending on what I'm cooking, I'll either add cornflour to it, or my preferred method of thickening a soup or stew is to take out around a third of the vegetables, blend them into a puree and pour them back in. Thickens it all up really well.

This is the best method for thickening up anything you don't want to add flour to :)

  11. Go to www.bbcgoodfood.com it has loads of really nice and easy recipes! I love the crispy beef stir fry, yum!!

Also my spicy chirizo pasta is pretty good:

    2 cans chopped tomotoes

    2 cloves garlic

    Sprig rosemary/dry rosemary

    chirizo

    chilli flakes

    double cream

    rigatoni

basically fry off the chirizo, garlic, rosemary and chilli flakes in a pan until the oil comes out of the chirizo, add the tomatoes and cook down. Add some cream right before serving and stir through your (cooked) pasta. yum!!

  12. I think I'm going to have to. I never seem to get full up, ever. It's not wonder the baby weight isn't moving very quick.

No. They are made by Nestle, and Nestle are evil.

There's a great book out called "Skinny Chicks Don't Eat Salad" which has loads of recipes in it which are specifically aimed at keeping you full. It's my bible!! lol.
