Really glad that Adam Masson has signed. Play him at right back and push Ryan up the pitch.
Looks a good signing rhat gives more options.
No banana skin today just win it.0 -
Last 3 games shows us to have a bit of depth in the squad as seen by the changes made in them - well done the management team and of course the players.

Gretna the visitors on Saturday. Conditions good so could be a belter.
Mon the BU's !!!
Looking forward to it. Gretna have made a decent start and appear to have made some backroom changes as well as bringing in some new players so a good game in the offing and hopefully a BU win.

Fed up hearing about money as an excuse with BU .
I’m pretty damn sure that the CSS goalie didn’t cost a lot of money and he is streets ahead of ours and of course not world class .
Their keeper - Freddie Owen - will be 19 in September and looks competent.
I mentioned Ryan Adamson in a previous post who is a decent keeper - now at Kelty - who was understudy to Andy Murphy, was offered a contract but declined as the money wasn’t enough.
I can’t imagine the management team not prioritising the search for a keeper but it’s maybe a case of the desirable not attainable. We live in hope.0 -

Off to Perth today.
Blustery day with the wind coming from behind the covered enclosure so the fans will be protected as they munch the pies.
Interesting match today with Jeanfield undefeated in the league and the BU’s gradually getting their game together.
Strongest available squad to the fore?

Happy for Musa that he got the move he wanted, straight onto ICTs bench today as well. Gutted we didn't get another season with him but he does deserve the chance higher up the pyramid
Just miss his presence in the penalty box. However, we wish him well.

Brilliant performance today, Albion Rovers offered absolutely nothing.
Apart from some wasted chances in the second - half by us.

Kieran McAulay said it was outside the box. Thought the Ref was hesitant before making his decision.

I still reckon we need a midfield enforcer in the MG mould as we look a wee bit disjointed. In that area.
A wee bit of patience and we’ll get there.0 -
A goal scoring centre forward.?

The first half was truly awful to watch. Too many BU players were thinking that defending is exclusively the work of the back 4. I really like Kyle Johnston and Danny Irving but WTF were they doing today ? They both appeared to be positioning themselves in the gaps between players rather than tackling, blocking, competing........they were both like big mobile blue cones.
Second half we played better and fought back to 2-2. The tails were up , we pushed for a winner but alas lost 2-3 on the break. That is Fitbaw.
MOTM was Porteous.
What was the team?

I am really REALLY surprised at this contract extension for 2 reasons:-
1) When fit he rarely manages 90 minutes
2) He is often absent due to an injury
DD
p.s. Keir Macaulay is the best left back in the league.
Ditto Keir Macaulay. A poster last year did warn us that Rutherford was a good signing provided he could stay fit but he missed a lot of games. Would have liked Hamilton to resign.
Anyway good luck to the BU’s tomorrow - yes DD posted missing on holiday.

Think it’s time to agree the price increase has been well discussed, and it’s time to start worrying about Stirling University.
Always a difficult game but getting them early on before they get their squad sorted might be to our advantage. Hope he gets the one or two players he mentioned in his interview comes off.

Look, the club needs to keep financially viable. If a couple of quid extra (whatever percentage that is) a week helps; then so be it. The committee is not trying to screw us, it’s bringing us in line with the majority. The effort they put into fundraising, standing in the pissing rain to sell raffle tickets, running the treasure chest etc I don’t think it’s malicious putting up the entrance. I will put my hand up and say last year I got really good value for money. Year before…….., but that’s football. Posts on here saying we need a striker or whatever, we need to pay them. And no I’m not on the committee.
Thanks, you saved me the bother. It’s our Club and it needs our support.

The SFA accepted the latest audited accounts as meeting the Bronze Licence requirements, so probably shoosh.
Accept we are not everyone's favourite other team. We will try to play in a positive, forward manner, where it gets us time will tell.
There is so much going on within the Club, I am proud to be part of this, even if others see my comments as s####.

Think Hamilton is a useful backup and should be retained, Rutherford is beyond done though, couldn't even last half a half at the weekend
Wasn’t injured apparently went off to be sick.

Wasn’t at the game so can’t comment on their behaviour but any group of young kids looking to come along and make an atmosphere should be welcomed. If a banging drum bothers people they do have the option to move along a bit.
Ofcourse they do have to behave themselves.
They should be welcomed because as time goes by they become long time supporters.

The obvious issue with subbing goalkeepers at HT is an injury to the Sub thereby having to bring on an outfield player. Interesting scenario to contend with.
