Not sure you have been watching the same team as me... We were turgid under BF. Boring and defensive football and totally against the whole way the club has set about the game for many a year.  Anyone who thinks we were nearly there when we were 15 points of the top of the table after 8 games clearly has low standards.  Brownlie was nowhere near as good as he thought he was.  I honestly don't know how anyone could be surprised the club acted when they did. The leadership from the dugout was non existant

All about opinions, delighted with the win on Saturday, although I did not see it coming, the penalty decision was for me very soft. The games I saw were anything but Turgid. Think we had 5 in the first half v HOB ! Anyway time to back Herdy, hope he gets it right.  (Just not convinced)

  2. Brownlie & Cairns will definitely be a big miss, Stevenson & Wilson not so much. Very surprised at who has left and a bit underwhelmed at who has come in. I'm just not feeling this change in direction at all !! The feeling was that the squad was almost there but frustrated at some performances especially the last minute goals away to Dundonald and LTHV but did this squad really need dismantled ??  Not for me !!

  3. Not convinced removing BF for Herd is a good move, the fact that Herdy was making his presence felt and no doubt touting himself for the job for weeks beforehand doesn't sit well. I rated him as a player but as a manager I've heard very conflicting reports. I hope he is the answer but to let our best defender go without having a replacement in place seems crazy. Both lads signed from BU where not good enough to get into a struggling team but hopefully they find there feet quick. HTG

Absolutely, 100% correct, Auld Heid,   Specky and others in the same mould , take note. This is exactly how the rest of the EOS and Junior  supporters see you egotistical,  halfwits who come on here spouting crap  thinking your amusing , you are , everybody’s laughing at you thank  goodness  that in the main , there are normal decent people supporting the rose, it’s them that’ll carry the team through not “ no users “ like you .

Unfortunately this is the reputation Linlithgow fans have now, its as if supporters save up there weekly frustrations to vent it towards there own players !, must be the worst at this level -really embarrassing stuff. The players hardly got a clap when they entered the field on Saturday, any true supporter should now do exactly that - Support !!!

  5. The last time we played Bo'ness we were beaten 2-1 at home with a team that finished well in the league. At that time i'm sure Bo'ness were in the bottom half of the league, so since then I would have to say the team has gone backwards with some incredibly poor signings.

No use in pointing fingers but as i've said before this was not overnight. As for Saturday it was very much a game of two halves with the wind playing a factor. It is always a tough place to go and have witnessed better Linlithgow teams getting a bigger beating than what i saw on Saturday. My frustration is that i'd have hoped to see more notable signings made by now but also happy to wait and hope that the quality is better than what we have brought to the club over the past few seasons. We're delighted to confirm the appointment of Brown Ferguson as our new manager. We'll give a further update in due course on the appointment of backroom staff. Welcome to Linlithgow Rose, Brown. #HTG

    From Facebook.

Brown should do a good job, the guy is very professional in all aspects of football coaching/management. His lack of knowledge of this level may be the only negative but i'm sure he will be a quick learner.  Good appointment imo.

Our pre-season fixtures line up is now complete and we've got some very interesting matches:

    Sat 29 June - Clyde (h)

    Sat 6 July - Annan Athletic (h)

    Sat 13 July - Kilbirnie Ladeside (h)

    Sat 20 July - Pollok (a)

    Wed 24 July - Hibernian XI (h)

Looks like a good set of fixtures, i'm  confident we will have a good season.

First real test at the helm for Max today and you can't really base anything on the last two games.  One thing though, I am certain we would not have scored 15 under Kegs.

Today is a different ball game and both still feel the hurt of that semi-final earlier in the season.  Max took his Tranent team there earlier in January and came away with a 1 goal win.  That would do me fine.

Maybe 14 under Kegs? You lot hounded the guy out and I'm sure max will do a decent job with what looks like a decent squad but still kegs is getn stick !

    Agree a very mixed bag.

Early season we struggled badly with injuries - but that's an easy excuse to make.

Tranent was probably our best performance of the season. Unfortunately that game apart we have not produced.

We are our own worst enemy at times.

Yep you are right. We were rotten yesterday.

Got to agree on both accounts
