Clubs don't have a choice when English clubs come in for their young players - legally they cannot be on long term contracts while they are young, and in most cases they will be threatening to leave for a compensation fee and are therefore sold so that the selling club has a bit more control over the structure of the fees.

Ferguson himself was in the same boat in that Bohemians sold him to England aged 16.

Could always offer a choice of actually playing proper professional football.

You're talking about an Irish kid sold by his club to Brighton after 4 games.

Kids get a game if they're good enough. This kid is. Ours, not so much.

I never mentioned the Irish kid.

Absolute pish that they’ll get a game if they are good enough. The top clubs are not bringing through strikers. You need experience of playing against better players to become better. Who was the last striker the Old Firm gave a chance to? They can’t afford to risk it now. Same in England. Out of the traditional top 6, I can only think of Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane coming through in about 10 years. One got a game because about 6 other strikers were injured (could have actually been more) and the other had about 5 loan moves before Tim Sherwood took a gamble on him.

That Evan Ferguson absolutely banging in the goals for a Brighton team on the up.  There’s talk of United bidding for him this summer.

How the f**k do these smaller nations than us do it? Where are they finding these players?

I refuse to accept Scotland doesn’t have them.

Other nations have clubs who actually give youngsters a game. SPFL clubs sell their young players at the first sign of a pound note. The majority are too scared to try young players from their youth teams. There is going to have to come a time when clubs are forced to play a certain amount of Scottish players.

If we qualify for euro 2024 the membership should be justified for that alone for that as if we're getting allocations of 10k+ in Germany near enough any member who wants a ticket will get one.

There was over 30,000 members last year.

  5. I’m fine with Clarke staying on. His target was to make the play off. He did that. I’d say if he doesn’t get 7 points in the next 3 Nations League games though that he might be on rocky grounds with some other fans.

I’m awaiting a few shitehouses pulling out of the squad with niggles in the next fortnight though. Time is pull together now. Anyone not willing can GTF

Interesting that since this Pattullo article has come out less than an hour ago and loads of fans online know that Ross didn't want to relocate from Newcastle, wanted too much money, didn't want to work with Strachan etc etc despite actively going for an interview. Our spin is in full motion!

Pretty much everyone has been in complete darkness but one article comes out and everyone knows Jack Ross' life story!

JR will also do well to get jobs in management again if he doesn’t want to relocate from the north east of England

Yeah, Ukraine are building up great momentum and confidence. The manager new manager is really getting a lot out of the team and they look better than the team that was on display at Euro 2020.

When have you seen them play exactly?

Most of the hotel casinos have a sports betting table which has loads of games on. Sure if you ask at one beforehand they will be able to source it.

Don’t do that. They hate fans who cheer in casinos. Loads of pubs around show it.  Loads of sports bars there. Crown and Anchor pub usually shows games too. I watched a bunch of midweek European competition games there before.

    And vice versa.

Erm no. Kane and Son would leave Spurs for Man United tomorrow.  Kane wanted to leave for them at the start of this season.   If Man United wanted any of the Arsenal players, they’d be gone too.
