  1. Another game where we're cursing missed chances, but a draw is still a fair result. 2 very good goals and not much for either keeper to do outside of a couple of chances. Booth was very impressive as were the 2 centre halfs.

Felt for Jones today, he had a shocker and couldn't seem to get anything right. One of those days for him.

Trouble is Gallagher, Golding, Jones and probably Ewen won’t be back next year, possibly a couple of others so another complete re build required so difficult to be overly optimistic. Also nagging at the back of my mind is how much finance will we have after obviously spending more than we usually do in the last window.

Agreed, although I've no idea what the contract situation is like with the loanees so we might find we're fortunate enough to sign one or two of them permanently depending on their parent clubs' situation. Not sure how convinced I am by the likes of Barron, Dangana who we've clearly spent a bit of money on.

That being said, I have faith in Allan's reach within the game to bring guys in that can put in a shift given who he's brought in so far.

  3. Great game. We had so many chances, it was remarkable that it stayed 1-0. A really good team performance, the guys looked up for every challenge and wanted the ball all game. I wasn't massively fussed for Gallagher's end product but it felt like he was everywhere all game. When we had to defend, he was there. Moving forward, he was involved pretty much every time.

Mitchell Taylor was amazing and caused the East Fife defence trouble all game, and Brian Cameron looked more energetic than I've seen him in a long time. A really great win.

  4. Hard to argue with what Hale said about the first half, where we looked like we were playing not to lose the game. Not a great performance but it's a real credit to the guys that we came out for the second half with that drive and aggression that was missing.

Great debut from Golding, considering he only signed on last night he settled in comfortably and looked really threatening. Another good shift from Jones and Dingwall worked his arse off as ever. I'd like us to be creating more chances but the shift in the way we play is really starting to pick up momentum.  A vital 3 points.
