Yup I know that there is a 1% chance but I'm a sucker for the Canadian teams, Leafs started so strong as well. Not sure about the other hockey fans on here but I for one can't stand Crosby or the pens, so it delights me to see them pumped once again at home, 7-4 this time by the Bruins.

I've got my Nike + gear sorted out eventually - calibrated it at the weekend and was planning on getting out this week... fucking weather has put a stop to that...

That prodirectrunning is always advertising in the running magazine I buy, Airdrieonians, so I imagine it's probably fine.

Just starting out again although I have been doing a fair bit on the elipticle machines in the gym but dunno how it is effecting my stamina.

Hopefully the route I plan on running is snow free tomorrow so I can get started.

Bumping this as it was always a good thread to read.

Getting myself back into running as I can't do weights at the moment due to injuring my forearms.

Anyone ever bought any running gear from www.prodirectrunning.com? If so is it reliable? Good gear?

Managed to do about 2.5 miles on Sunday there with two really steep hills in the middle of it so I was pretty impressed. How quickly should I see improvement in my cv fitness if I am running 3 - 4 times a week at 2.5 miles?

Any info would be great.

See the Flyers won last night. Pretty good. The guy Carcillo seems to be able to get under opposing players skin quite easily. A few Toronto players wanted to have a go at him.

I think if you're planning to pick up a team I'd recommend East Coast teams for the better time difference and the fact they seem to get more games on ESPN if you plan on watching it there. Flyers are the Stoke of the NHL.

Fair enough. Just picked them by default as I follow the Eagles and Sixers as I mentioned before. Watching the re-run of the game from last night. Fell asleep watching it.

Much like a few others who have posted the Olympics got me interested in NHL. Good to have something to watch when the NFL is off. Philly Eagles are my NFL team and I also follow the Sixers in the NBA so following suit I have plumped for Philly in the NHL. They are on ESPN in five mins against Toronto.

Are they any good? Should I be expecting a hammering?
