Good news, hopefully still got a bit of budget to get a striker in then it’s onwards and upwards.

Still pretty disappointed he’s actually spoken to them in the first place but happy he’s staying for now. Can’t be arsed with this every time a vacancy comes up though

FWIW I’d rank Ayr in the tier of clubs alongside the Mortons, the Queen of the Souths, the Raith Rovers, the Airdries of the world. Have the potential to have their day in sun in the country’s flagship division given the right circumstances, however aren’t ever going to seriously establish themselves as one of the big boys (and play 10+ consecutive seasons in the premier division, compete in Europe, win major trophies, have the two best strikers in the league etc. etc.).
You are trying way too hard.

If he goes, and it still has to ge a huge if at this stage, we'll move on and still be a massively attractive prospect at this level for the next guy that comes in.
He's been great for us, no doubt about it, but we've been great for him too and crucially nothing materially would change in that for the next person.
Too many believing every snippet of information and putting two and two together to make up their own answer.
Let's see how it plays out. The world will still turn regardless.
We won’t be attractive as what we were say a few weeks ago but we are in the middle of an injury crisis which doesn’t show any sign of improving particularly if there is any truth in the McMann rumours.

As I said a similar CV to Brown . No point in getting up set , just a left field shout as we know Smith pretty much operates left field . There would be plenty others though and no doubt Murray would be one .
Your exact words were: there would be a line of better managers than Murray at the door. You then suggested Steven Davis. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest Steven Davis would be better than Murray.

Whit a day so far.
What does the afternoon have in store.
See the video of the goalkeeper continually getting the ball booted into his face. That’s exactly how I feel this morning.

Steven Davis .
I’m presuming you’re meaning ex Rangers player here? What basis are you using to say he’d be a better option than Ian Murray?

If brown does go who do you want to be the new manager 1 of the usual suspects or somebody else.
Cross that bridge if/when it comes to it but I have no idea. The guys being linked with the Raith job were fairly uninspiring.

Scott Brown supposedly on a final shortlist of 4 for St Johnstone job alongside the Larne manager, Peter Leven and an unnamed. Prior to Dowds injury I wouldn’t of been overly worried about him going however think that has completely killed any chance of promotion and he may want to take the offer of a premiership job while it’s there.

I don't follow fitba, what's this?
Adebayor signed for Man City from Arsenal. In his first game against Arsenal he was taking lots of abuse from their fans, he then scored and ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the arsenal fans which then caused a whole lot of seethe.

George Oakley to score in front of the Somerset Road End and Adebayor the travelling Morton fans.

We'd be absolutely mental if we spent any remaining budget on a right back
A goalkeeper however….

Saying we need cover is all well and good but the club will have spent quite a bit in the summer to assemble the squad that we have. They can account for the fact that we then get 6-7 injuries at once. If we had a smaller squad and budget to spend then I’d say it’s reasonable enough to just add someone else.
I don’t think whether we replace Dowds or not is going to determine whether we win the league as we aren’t going to get another striker who will score those goals so it’s largely irrelevant.
Can’t agree with that, Dowds was on course to be out and potentially the leagues top goal scorer this season if he had continued on the form he was on. We need to be bringing a striker in, I highly doubt they’ll score the amount that Dowds would but one that going to get more than McKenzie and/or Bavidge is required.

And our PA kept mispronouncing his name as Ya-ku-bye-ack.
I refuse to believe that from the ultimate professional.

Fairly certain that Gozie Ugwu has left his club in Egypt. Not on the level of Dowds but he ragdolled us in that season that he played for Morton.
Ugwu and Oakley up against Morton on Saturday has potential to be very, very funny.
ETA: Seems to have signed for a team in the 2nd tier of Saudi so there goes that one.

No more loans until transfer window opens. Can only sign free agents, and they need to wait until next registration date before they can play. Window closed end of August in line with England. Can get an emergency goalkeeper for 7 days on loan, but don't tell Broony.
Can still get loans from Scotland. Partick Thistle signed Megwa a couple of days ago on loan.

Question is, who is going to take the pre-arranged gift of our weekly penalty throughout the season?
Revert back to Dempsey id imagine. Absolutely gutted for Anton, he’s had a brilliant start to the season and throughly seems like a really likeable guy. I hope he can start his rehab and get back on the pitch asap.
There is no doubt this is a massive blow to us. He’s been an integral part to our attacking play this season. I think Bavidge will come in and do fine however there is no doubt we need to bring another striker in now. We’re now one injury/suspension away from having to play McKenzie upfront again.
Our next two games are winnable even with the injuries however really don’t fancy going to Falkirk or playing Livingston with a threadbare squad. We could really do with some clarification from the club after the game today on player availability.

I’d imagine if all the defenders are fit (no laughing at the back) then it’ll be- Watreat- McMann- Stanger- Reading. Just want another centre back back asap so we don’t need to play McAllister although in fairness he was fine on Saturday.

He is shorter odds than Brown in a site a seen this morning 9/1 compared to Brown at 10/1
I highly doubt either will be the next St Johnstone manager. Brown is only been linked to premiership jobs at this stage because of who he is. He’s probably not done enough at ourselves or Fleetwood to show he’s deserving of a step up. If/when Brown does leave I’d imagine it’ll be to a better team than St Johnstone after getting us promoted.

He’s just been caught with £600,000 in his possession yet it’s still only his 2nd most disgraceful performance this week.

Please make this stop, calling McMann ‘McCann’ is becoming worse than the McCowan/McGowan debacle from a few years back.
