The profile picture change when Chalmers signs elsewhere is going to be heartbreaking

I thought it was Byrne from Dundee we were trying to sign?
Are you only allowed to sign one player per team like?

I thought this was a ‘light’ chat. Apologies if any cats have been offended. Their owners can do one.
Felix is crying now, nice one.

That’s an excellent suggestion. Since @itzdrk stopped doing his podcast there is a dearth of Ayr related podcasts.
Aye, quite a few teams in this league do them. Raith, Morton, Partick Thistle etc. Always a decent listen particularly leading up and after (result depending) games against ourselves.

Proud Dad moment as that’s my lad presenting with the light coloured hoodie and his twin brother at the end . He worked ( as well as the others ) incredibly hard to put this together and it goes towards his end of year assessment/ grade.
Really good listen that. Interesting to hear from different departments of the club and then obviously the fans at the end. Well done to your sons and everyone else involved for it.
They fancying an unofficial club podcast next?

Pot 1 and Pot 4 are away from home. Pot 3 and 5 are at home.
Give the people Aberdeen and Annan for away games.
So by that logic it’s Dundee United and Stenny away. Falkirk and Buckie Thistle at home.

Seagulls are needlessly aggressive little p***ks.
The neds of the avian world, if you like.
Aye, doesn’t help that the old women the street behind me constantly feeds the fuckers. This time of year is hell for them swooping down to protect their young.

Back to footie. Do we know if Doohan is available/achievable? Would love him back if so.

Enough of the cat and dog chat. Is there a worse animal on the planet than Seagulls?

Charlie Albinson was arguably the best keeper in the league 22/23 season however his form fell off a cliff last year to the point he was costing us games. People will point to the Dundee United game where he chucked two in but there was plenty of other games where he was shaky. It’s easy to blame the change of goalkeeping coach and there may well be some truth in that but some of his errors were so, so basic.

Unless there is 100% evidence of this I personally wouldn’t be posting it on a public forum.

Good shot stopper, saved a few worldies, but flapped with the ball at his feet and threw a few in that stevie wonder would have caught. Still rather have him than Mutch.
I’d agree but not a chance Mutch will be our number 1. We’re actively looking for a new goalkeeper,

See the tickets for the opening game of the euros at Cameron’s bar have sold out. How many tickets and how much? Over the three games, assuming they’re all sold out, that must be a decent wee earner for the club.
Tickets were free, not sure how many sold but they’ll still make a decent amount from bar sales.

Charlie Albinson signing for Hamilton Accies.

I suspect a large part of that is Ayr valuing him as their main man, whereas Thistle would likely have made him an offer in line with his role as backup to Graham.
Aye I’d imagine that will be the case. We needed him more than Thistle so would have paid more. I have heard we have had quite a significant increase to the budget so hopefully it’s used wisely.

You boys likely to have a similar budget as this season?

Are we sure McGinley was actually signed? Like, did anyone actually see him in an Ayr top, in person?
I could have sworn he came off the bench during our 2-0 defeat against Dunfermline at East End Park but can’t find any record of this. We made 5 subs, none of which were him so no idea who I saw. I blame the pre match beers in the Elizabethan.

At the moment I’m thinking Gorgeous George is favourite. Will rattle the Greenocktonians infesting the thread.
