We do need to think of new songs in time for the Qatar game, we've been outsang by Northern Ireland back in March, how about some patriotic Scottish songs that we never sing these days.
Home fans never turned up and couldn't be arsed with the game where as those bigots see us as a big rival. Would be completely different in a qualifier

I think Green wins that one as well but his talk of retirement would slightly worry me in terms of his mental state.
You are out of your minds if you think green beats edson fucking barboza. Barboza might have the best standup in all of mma even although he has been caught a couple of times. If you watch him you will struggle to find a better striker on earth other than anderson at his peak or possibly aldo and pettis. He is top 5 in all of mma in my opinion and have heard he has been grappling big time recently to stop take downs.

See, I have as much as problem with this as those who spout any of the anti-Irish nonsense. I get the feeling from some that they appear desperate for Scotland to be some sort of anti-Irish cesspit, as it suits their own agendas, when it clearly isn't. Whilst of course at one point anti-Irish feeling was high, and part of that may still linger on today for some folk, but for me, is a minor problem, it's on no way of an epic scale. Having an Irish surname or attending a Catholic school, and for the record, being someone who is as equally proud of my Irish roots as I am of being Scottish, has in no way held me back in my working life, so this "maybe the Scots can't stand the Irish" is as ludicrous as those who claim there is no/never has been anti-Irish feelings in this country.

I support Scotland first, Ireland second. My wish is for both countries to qualify from the group if possible. But I cannot and will not support those who hide behind "football rivalry" in order to spout their (scarcely-concealed at the best of times) anti-Irish bigotry.
Absolute myth. Apart from the minority of unionist, bigot rangers fans there is no anti-irishness what so ever but just a bitter resentment of plastic paddyness.

The Fianna are as much part of Scottish mythology as they are Irish. The links between Scotland and Ireland go back centuries with an almost constant stream of people back and forth. It's ridiculous that to some people the age old relationship between the two places is seen almost entirely through the context of a century long rivalry between two football clubs based in Glasgow. Unfortunately it seems that plenty of people in our OF obsessed sports media suffered from that. Ludicrous to see them asking Strachan was he worried about playing at Celtic Park.
Anyway, far more important that all that shite was the win. I'm still watching that goal over and over again. With the Waspies then getting a draw at Ibrox on Saturday this was a quite magnificent sporting weekend. Bring on England

We do have a non 'working class' element to our support. Our support still has a good few hairy arsed glasgow hardmen but also a significant section of middle class tits. Not enough swearing and shouting in our songs.
We should start singing 'we shall not be moved' again. That is a good shouting song that can make some noise
