Canny wait for this, booked in to the hospitality for it. Really enjoyed the last meeting, especially with the "both to score in both halves" bet sailing home. Wouldn't be shocked to see the same again tbh with hopefully an away win this time.

Is Mullin injured? Was a strange one not even being on bench. Next couple of games I'd go Mullin Chalmers Akinyemi and McKenzie as the front 4 if fit.

Won the tie - forget the game and move on, everyone else will, it was chronic.
What an absolute shit draw though.
Kept thinking “no, not them. no, don’t want them either and ended up with that
I was too busy not wanting Inverness away that I didn't see the Cove sucker punch coming.
It's one of i think 12 current league grounds I've not seen us at though so really need to get my finger out and go to one of them though.

Glad we avoided 12-1
Glad we avoided a Talbot / Clyde / just about every other lower or non league club we have played in the last decade scenario .
Dare I say both teams probably happy enough with the outcome ? Ayr were rotten but won without ever looking like not winning - Pollok with a new manager that has probably only met the players a few times didn't get pumped.
Interesting to see that tonight was probably the only time I've seen a defence not absolutely terrified of / bullied by Dipo all season.

Bangala was fine .didn't do much wrong .
I thought similar - he didn't look great but wasn't awful. Dempsey was rotten first half too. Biggest disappointment for me was Brad Young, I'm beginning to think our best striker combination is Dipo and McKenzie.

A remember the first postponement, had one foot on the bus at the Steamboat, sickener.
I was at Queen Street train station with tickets already bought so we ended up going anyway for a day out, got a taxi out to a wee pub near the ground that we had planned on going to anyway and ended up having a kick about on the park with a couple of weans

I want to apologise to Pollok fans. Unfortunately, I have bet £5 on you to win at 18/1.
I was tempted to put money on Darvel on Saturday and chickened out. Given this one's on TV I thought I would stick a fiver on to at least make it more interesting. Chances are Ayr will be 4-0 up after 20 mins after my little flutter.
It's 35/1 on William Hill which caught my eye - can't have been an away side at Somerset ever that big a price surely

If somebody did put together a team of guys who just took up the sport for fun last week I still don't actually think Ayr would score eleven goals. Looking forward to a competitive match.
Ashford would set a club record for shots off target in that scenario

It would be interesting to see if our analytics team study individual defensive errors that directly lead to goals. Struggling to think of any captains of teams over the years that continually made bombscare errors. Whilst any captain doesn't need to be the best player they do need to be someone the team can rely on. Not sure it sends out a good message to the fringe players who see these howlers but are still not given a chance. I'm not advocating McGinty gtf but at least he should earn his place based on performance. As it stands Bullen will try and shoehorn him in whenever possible to justify a decision. Over the piece points will be dropped until these basic errors get sorted
Not sure that's entirely fair - McGinty only came back in when Musonda went to left back as Paddy was having a mare or two. And in the game v Partick when he made the sub it worked. Pretty sure if we had an on form left back and everyone fit McGinty would be on bench and Murdoch captain

You know what- I've just realised I'm gutted at drawing at Inverness to have our lead at the top of the table cut. If that isn't progress then I don't know what is.
Here's to taking half a dozen off some juniors next week (6-3 win) and regroup in a fortnight.

Feels like a big month ahead. 6 points ahead of 5th but not playing particularly well and our 2 best centre halves injured, leaving only McGinty. 3 games to go against Raith, Partick and Dundee before transfer window opens. Can we hold on to playoff spot before strengthening? I'd like to think yes, if only because nobody else other than Morton look like grabbing 3 wins in a row.

Where is that rumour about Musonda coming from?
It was right after he went off with what we thought was cramp a couple of weeks ago, someone who works with the players had said they thought it was worse and might have been a recurrence of something that has bothered him before. Hopefully 2 more weeks and he will be fine as if it was something needing work done we would know by now..

IfLate equaliser and losing Kirk has me feeling absolute gutted at today tbh. If Musonda is out long term as rumoured we will struggle to get any points at all on board between now and January with McGinty and presumably McAllister at Cb.
Suppose on a slight positive its a draw when playing rubbish again but the snatching something playing rubbish is becoming a theme. Poor last 10 in comparison to Morton who lost a late equaliser at the exaxt same time we went ahead then went up and won it, through Robbie Crawford ironically.

Not sure what Young has done to end up dropped in the first place.

Already sounds like "one of those days" doesn't it

Aye Radio Scotland (this is live game) saying it was a good save but was a sitter at same time.

A goal behind against Inverness you say? That's game we'll and truly over.

Still looks like a pretty strong Inverness team, but maybe their fans would disagree.
Aye for all the chat of a crisis there's still 7 I think who played when they beat us at Somerset, and would be 8 if they hadn't changed their keeper.
I notice Devine hasn't played since that game to be fair - hopefully a bit rusty.

Accies hadn't won at home since August, to Arbroath. There are zero easy games this season.
They still haven't, to be fair.
Edit - I'm not saying it will be an easy game, of course it won't, and despite our good run of results the form isn't exactly convincing. I'm just not having the narrative that going away to a team with 9 points out of a possible 21 at home who have their own injury worried is a 'horror fixture'.

Still ridiculously tight at the top and a horror fixture in Inverness next weekend, let's not worry about next season yet.
Inverness have 3 defeats and 2 draws in their last 5 games. We really shouldn't be treating that as a horror fixture. We also won the last time we played them up there and drew 2 of the previous 3. Let's go up there and get them beat.

Actual pay at the gate
Cheers.
Everyone buzzing for this then I take it?
Just getting ready to go for bus. First time I'll have seen Ayr play at NDP, only ever visit was for an Amateur Cup semi final a few years ago.
No idea what to expect game wise, based on recent results it would suggest Hamilton aren't great and definitely look beatable, however the previous meeting of the sides was pretty even and tool a late Andy Murdoch peach to rescue us a point, so who knows.

He's honestly one of the worst players I've seen in recent years. At least I can remember Jerome fondly despite the goals drying up, I don't think Dunn ever scored for Ayr
Not sure about goals but I remember him and Ryan Stevenson both getting sent off away at Alloa one time.

Hamilton 13/10 to win this with Bet365 - is this and even some handicap ones worth it if ICT playing a reserve side? Will Accies go full strength do we reckon?
Edit - just saw above poster saying Accies going reserve too so maybe not worth it
