  1. I hope you guys are. If you win it could mean the end for Murray
  2. Cuthbert let in 4 goals back to back against Hearts and Dundee. I don't really see him making a massive difference when he returns.
  3. At last the board have acted! http://www.raithrovers.net/16869/rovers-strengthen-backroom-team.htm Can't see anyone stopping us now.
  4. I would drop Moon before Fox. Moon has looked awful in the games I've seen this season. Conroy has been poor as well. Him and McKeown have made up a terrible left hand side of our team and its a pity we seem to have no-one else who can play that side of the pitch.
  5. Maybe we should be looking at trying a 3-5-2 now that Hill is almost ready to return. Murray needs to try something because this 4-5-1 nonsense is definitely not the answer.
  6. Perhaps if Murray actually sends the side out with some words of inspiration we'll start a home game on the front foot for once and generate some goodwill from the support. It's the team that need to build some bridges here, not the fans. In all likelihood Alloa will go one up early on and the atmosphere will be poisonous. If it does then so be it, the management and players have brought this on themselves.
  7. I would certainly not be disappointed to see the back of our entire defence. They were all part of the problem last season and the only the new signings have only made things worse.
  8. Good post. I've heard and seen a few people point to the injuries we've had, and while we've been very unfortunate with injuries to centre backs and goalkeepers, your post highlights exactly why things may not get a whole lot better even when these guys return. We absolutely must win next week. What would be even better is a convincing performance. Unfortunately these have been few and far between at Stark's Park this season and with morale probably at an all time low I'm not confident.
  9. We now have games coming up at home to the bottom of the league team and away to a junior side in the cup. If we lose either of these matches Murray can get stuffed.
  10. If the guy was from the East Fife Mail I assume he usually reports on East Fife matches and therefore wouldn't be able to spot a football player to save himself.
  11. I actually took my season ticket with me as insurance in case it was a season ticket holders only sale. I assume the fact we received an allocation for the lower section as well means we've been given a decent sized allocation.
  12. Just picked up a cheapy £17 Hearts ticket. Massive psychological boost for me ahead of the match.
  13. He's been a regular on the bench due to our injury problems. Our injured players should be back by the end of the year so he might well be farmed out in January.
  14. I'd say a C+ would be my grade. Most of us would've taken 14 points at the start of the season but our performances have been poor. Our home form is awful, particularly our first half performances. We have yet to score a single league goal at home in the first half this season. We have some tough away games coming up this next quarter so we can't be expecting our away results to bail us out. If our home form doesn't pick up we could well be in the bottom 3 by the halfway mark.
  15. Can't see Murray doing anything other than keep the same starting 11 on Friday night.
  16. That Linlithgow manager is kidding himself if he thinks playing at a tight ground will be some sort of new experience to us. I would also be amazed if demand for this game exceeded the capacity of the ground. No need for this to be all ticket. Unless we win our next 3 games there will be no more than 600 or 700 Rovers fans there.
  17. What like are the floodlights at Linlithgow? Will the game need to kick off early? The ground looks decent enough. Better than at least a couple in our league.
  18. At least we all know that if we are 0-0 in a game with 15 minutes to go we can all just get up and leave early since the best possible result for us in that scenario is 0-0. You'd think Falkirk were on a 25 match unbeaten run the way he's talking.
  19. That's the problem. Because of record in general from about October/ November onwards it's hard to view these results as much reason for encouragement, especially given that we've not played particularly well either. If we can maintain a level of consistency throughout the season that sees us pick up a reasonable tally of points each quarter then we can say we've made progress and the pressure will be off Murray.
  20. Anyone with the patience to sit through a Grant Murray interview deserves a medal. It's possibly the only thing more boring and predictable than his brand of football. I would say if we don't take at least 3 points from the next four games he should be punted
  21. The final sentence in the injury update statement issued by the club leaves no doubt the board are right behind Murray.
  22. Why shouldn't he criticise the players in public? Plenty managers do it. I'd rather he upset the precious ego of some of the muppets in our squad than treated the fans like they are idiots by refusing to acknowledge our problems. Regarding the new players, they won't gel because they are in the main not good enough, some of them aren't even close to being of the required standard.
  23. He's struggled right from the pre-season friendlies for us. There is no way on earth that guy should be a professional footballer.
