  1. First half was a pretty brutal watch but enjoyed the second. I thought Tiffoney was excellent, constantly beating his man, should’ve earned a penalty, and tracked back well (especially one sprint in the second half to stop a counter). Hopefully Jakubiak can fit in well and get up to speed quickly. There was a bit of miscommunication between him and Bannigan that broke down a promising attack, and another attack was wasted when he could’ve easily played it forward for Tiffoney but decided to take on his man. But he looks a decent enough option.
  2. Just noticed he's already played for Dundee and Falkirk this season - so wouldn't be able to sign for us anyway? Nonsense from The National then.
  3. Declan McDaid linked with a return. Rudden out; Jakubiak, McDaid, McAllister in?
  4. My brother supports the Rams so I’ll be backing them, especially after the damp squib that was Super Bowl LIII.
  5. I’ve bought a ticket for the Jackie Husband Stand this morning but now can’t make it, so if any Thistle fan fancies a freebie let me know and I’ll email my ticket over.
  6. I'm having to sort out a Home Report for the first time. Does anyone come P&B recommended or are they all pretty much the same? My house is in decent condition and I'd assume they just take the size of the property and the area it's in and the valuation is decided on that. But would prefer one that's known for providing generous valuations - and if anyone's had a shite experience let me know who to avoid. Should add the property is in Ayrshire.
  7. Two excellent semi finals. Also hope Hawkins can do it, he seems a great, unassuming guy. Predict he’ll do much better than his previous Masters final anyway…
  8. Need to phone the doctor between 8:30am and 11am to get an appointment. Phoned at 9:10 and was on hold for 15 mins so hung up to try again later. Phoned again at 10:50, on hold until I got through at 11:01, when I was told to try again tomorrow. Seething.
  9. Tuesdays with Stories! (Mark Normand, Joe List) Around the NFL (Dan Hanzus, Gregg Rosenthal, Marc Sessler) The Totally Football Show (James Richardson) Off Menu (James Acaster, Ed Gamble) We Might Be Drunk (Mark Normand, Sam Morril)
  10. The Dudley Boyz The Rock 'n' Sock Connection The New Age Outlaws The Hardy Boyz The Brothers of Destruction
  11. Scored what is still my favourite Thistle goal (v Peterhead).
  12. Will Edinburgh City be back to Meadowbank by then? I've only got them, Cove Rangers, Annan Athletic and Elgin City (already out) left out of the SPFL stadiums. So any of those remaining 3 would be good - or Darvel, East Kilbride, Clydebank, Banks O'Dee.
  13. Why was there any need to do another draw to determine who was at home? They'd already laid it out nicely.
  14. Yeah, just returned to light training. Could definitely see him leaving in January though.
  15. First half was terrible, improved in the second but couldn't really get Tiffoney, Rudden and Graham into the game. The goal was very well taken though. Also think we should've had a pen. Am I missing something about why we didn't have a joint minute's applause for Bertie Auld?
  16. Espresso Kart & Coffee Bar in Kilmarnock. They're good guys and use Thomsons coffee - which I use in my wee machine at home.
  17. Everyone was superb tonight but need to single out Gilmour and Adams, they were different class. What a win.
  18. The worst performance I've seen was Mark Ridgers in his only start for us - 0-6 v Aberdeen. Colin Stewart is the worst who got a run in the team. Cerny for best.
  19. By contrast, the 8-man title bracket looks weak. I know they're avoiding putting people like MJF and Darby Allin in so they're not taking an 'unnecessary' loss, but to have Dustin Rhodes and 10 included in the bracket, with the depth of their roster, seems mental.
  20. Not long back from The Twilight Sad (well, James and Andy) in a weird wee tent in Paisley. Good, they were a wee bit rusty to begin with but overall an enjoyable night. Felt the crowd was a bit flat, could have been the venue or might just be typical of their gigs, not seen them before. Think that's the first gig for me since Ben Howard in December '18 which could be the worst of the 70+ gigs I've been to (and I've seen Bob Dylan). So, good to be back.
