  1. If McPake insists on persevering with Elliott then hopefully he has had a rocket up his arse and has been getting one on one training on how to put in a challenge and had it explained to him that his job is to at least attempt to dispossess the opposition of the ball.
  2. Still not taking being unable to beat 10 men well I see. Lovely stuff.
  3. Just looked him up; considering it's a leftfield appointment of a 35 year old who was managing a Belgian lower league side, it makes you think there might have been some substance to the McPake rumour.
  4. Is their manager seriously mentioning the weather? What will it be, like 14c or something? It's hardly Siberia in the middle of winter FFS.
  5. The amount of times you type a word with consecutive double letters like 'good', 'food' etc and for some reason your finger ends up writing goid or foid when surely it's easier for your finger/muscular/tendon physiology to repeat the same letter rather than the other one confounds me somewhat.
  6. Nathan Ralph's twin brother, Norman, is signing for us on a season long loan from Accrington Stanley. Unusually for a twin, his predominantly stronger foot is opposite from his twin brother and he will be signed as an attacking right back. He would have been first choice right back for Accrington but for the excellent performances of Stephen McKimmie, nephew of ex-Aberdeen ace, Stewart. Source: Aberdeen Press & Journal Bag of Pish.
  7. Hi Sir, Could you please change the subject title to 'daft red cards' or something as everyone, including myself, seem to have ignored the 'this season' part.
  8. The two that immediately spring to mind are Jordan Marshall at the weekend pulling a Celtic player back in the box in the 90th minute when we were already 5 goals down and leaving us a crucial player down for our next league game, and Dougie Imrie getting sent off for ICT against us in the Challenge Cup Final probably less than a minute after getting subbed on. I was also at this game against Clyde to witness Andy McLaren losing the plot for us and receiving 3 red cards:
  9. Steady on, the eventual final figure is only reported to be £1.1m.
  10. Are you one of those pub quizmasters who has to be told they're wrong by the teams when it becomes apparent they've fucked up the quiz?
  11. I can't get my head around the whole 'we at Rangers made the SPFL aware of an issue and they didn't get back to us' thing. It reads like 'we were aware that what we were doing was not strictly within the rules so we let the SPFL know and because they didn't get back to us we're just going to run with it anyway'. I might be miles out but that's the way it comes across.
  12. Strictly speaking it wasn't £1m we got for Jack Hendry as it was actually £1.6m at the time, not to mention we've just received another 6 figure sum after Celtic sold him. https://www.nottheoldfirm.com/news/dundee-net-cash-windfall-from-jack-hendrys-celtic-exit/amp/ Was there a reason for your question Granny?
  13. No idea of the original source but I saw this screenshot:
  14. I'm not disagreeing it's a cracking fee to get for him, I was just pointing out to Granny that it wasn't just Dees doubting the idea of getting that sort of money for him. On a side note, I've seen it reported that the £1m includes add-ons so presumably he'll have some targets to hit before Utd get the full figure. Hopefully it's £100k up front with the other £900k only getting paid if he scores 40+ this season.
  15. Yeah that was it. Their medic said the weight of his 5 heid over the years was catching up on his lower body.
  16. @Day of the Lords predicted 6-0 in two separate threads. Meanwhile I was certain that we could snatch at least a point after having watched Celtic a couple of times recently and they were very poor. Moral of the story: Listen to Day of the Lords pre-match chat, not mine.
  17. People can say what they like about Cammy Kerr but there's not a chance he'd have been destroyed by Ryan Christie the way Elliott was.
  18. It does get a bit OTT in here with the negativity at times. It's never going to be some laugh after a heavy defeat, but f**k me man, some folk have got us relegated on the back of that one result. We won't be the last team Celtic and Kyogo put to the sword this season. Having said that, we didn't exactly make it difficult for them. Just 9 or 10 more signings before the window closes and we'll be sweet.
  19. As long as that makes sense to you Clive, that's the main thing.
  20. Ryan Christie didn't even have to try to get that ball off him yesterday before crossing it in. Elliot must be a good bit heavier and taller than him and Ryan Christie brushed him off the ball like he wasn't even there. I'd go mental if my boy gave up a ball that easily in the under-10s. Especially as he's 17 years old but that's by the by.
  21. Except you only have to go back a few pages to see it was your fellow fans saying this most recently...
