Aye, I've done that arithmetic too. You'll occasionally get roasters here claiming that they'd be so much better off if healthcare was privatised because their private health insurance doesn't cost them much; they've no idea how much the existence of the NHS keeps their premiums down.

That’s assuming you even GET health insurance. I doubt I’d get any anytime soon. Just so bad they seem to think going bankrupt because you get sick is somehow acceptable and just what happens.

Incredible that many Americans think of healthcare as an aspirational aim that should be worked towards, including some who can't afford it themselves.

They have an incredibly weird view on it. I’ve seen more than a few slag off the NHS and how bad it is, when they don’t seem to recognised that having kids can bankrupt them.

I had loads of illnesses and ops in the past 2 years. I worked out that if I was in the US, it would have cost me $60k plus, ongoing medicine costs which would be $561 every month. It’s utterly mad, I didn’t pay a penny on the NHS.

As time goes on it becomes more and more apparent that Reagan's the daddy of all the successive creeps, and is a big part of why the alternative is also a shit sandwich. Very much like Thatcher over here. How proud they would be, knowing the pain they continue to cause.

Anyway, apparently I'm staying up for this - what are our predictions? Can Harris' defence survive Trump's blitzkrieg attack? Will the ref cope with the Apricot Arsehole's playacting and temper tantrums? I'm going for a low-scoring draw.

I’m really only watching this so I can see Trump go off his head and start shouting shit. If he’s all sensible and answers things properly then it’ll be quite disappointing.

Nice one, Sky News on Youtube showing the debate. Starts at 8am my time so time to rattle up some pop tarts with easy squeezy cheese n grits with a big mug of joe. Let battle commence.

I think BBC iPlayer is as well, I am going to watch on that.

Look, I wanted him gone, but it's clearly no happening.

We actually performed pretty well tonight, but undid ourselves with individual mistakes.

The players who made those mistakes are of no real surprise.

It's Clarke's job to recognise that those players will always make mistakes at this level.

    Will he? Doubtful.

I’m sure he will but honestly, apart from McLean, which I’m sure we could have played someone better, who is he putting in over Ralston or Hanley?

Porteous is maybe a bit better but it’s not like he doesn’t have his idiotic moments either.  Johnson might be ok but he’s not played all that much at Sturm Graz.

It comes back to what we saw at the Euros, once the core guys are out injured, the quality of the next guy goes through the floor.

Yet Clarke continually hooks Gilmour with 10 or so minutes to go. He should be kept on at all times for his game intelligence if nothing else. We always lose our composer in midfield when he is not on the pitch.

He’s not the only tbf, Gilmour often got subbed for Brighton as well.
