  1. Slightly off topic but North Ayrshire has a population of about 140,000, mostly centred around Irvine, Kilwinning, and the 3 towns - but has no senior football team. Are there any other mainland council areas like that with no senior club?

North Ayrshire has an abundance of junior teams though. Probably only Glasgow has more junior teams than N.A

  3. Sadly, he has wasted the best opportunities at personal development throughout his career. Can't seem him ever holding down a regular club or being in the frame for a place in the full international squad anymore

  4. Better safe than sorry, right? Channel 13 news was just talking about this change in facebooks privacy policy. Better safe than sorry. As of January 4th, 2015 at 5pm Central standard time. I do NOT give Facebook, or any entities associated with Facebook, permission to use my pictures, information, or posts, both past and future. By this statement I give notice to Facebook that it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, or take any other action against me based on this profile is private and confidential information. The violation of privacy can be punished by law (UCC 1-308-11 308-103 and Rome statute). NOTE: Facebook is now a public entity. All members must post a note like this. If you prefer, you can copy and paste this version. If you do not publish this statement at least once it will be tactically allowing the use of your photos, as well as information contained in the profile status updates. DO NOT SHARE. You MUST copy and paste to make this your status.

Aye I've got 4 of these, must've missed the "Channel 13" news last night. Also, is "central standard time" in Scotland just the time in Falkirk?

  5. There's one or two scores every set that are ruining it for Thornton. Tonight sums up why I love the sport, players don't get nervous the closer they get to a world title. Instead they bring their A game and we get treated to games like this.

  6. They really need to move it for said reason, transport links, but 2,000 tickets per night is nowhere near enough. Should be looking for an arena of 5,000 plus. They could knock a fair bit off the price and still rake in well more money, guaranteeing they would sell the place out. They said back before the tournament started that 85% of the tickets sold out in July.

Rotating the venue would be ideal. Don't mean to play up to the sporting cliche but it does seem that London gets absolutely everything.

  7. Nah, can see why they stick the least ''attractive'' games on last. The transport system around Muswell Hill isn't that great past 11pm so folk tend to drift away by then.

Anyway, as much as the Denis Ovens love is strong I think it's about time Diamond Dave came out of exile and showed the young 'uns how it's done...

Wasn't aware of that. Why would they continue to host the biggest tournament in the sport in an arena with such horrible transport links? It's like the 2010 World Cup with the half empty stadiums, takes a bit of the magic away from a major tournament.

Anyway the afternoon session was ok. The Pie Man only has himself to blame for his exit, Bristow was spot on in his assessment of players always wanting to go double 18 when they're absolutely terrible at it and leaving 9 which is a horrendous double. Had to go food shopping when Pipe was on because that's physically unwatchable so missed that game.

  8. You'd think they'd find a way to schedule it better so it always ends with at least a top seed playing. A good night of darts ruined by an absolute shitfest of a last game. It was good to see Wright get tested, a better warm up than most of the other favourites have faced so far

  9. I'm a bit conflicted here. Hamilton is a prize c**t and Richardson is a dirty Paisley b*****d.

    Ahh, f**k it. C'mon Richardson!

Did they say he emigrated 10 years ago or when he was 10? If it's the former then what exactly makes him "Canadian"? I get your point though, pair of arseholes

ETA: thinking of it, even if it's the latter what makes him Canadian
