  1. 6-2 7-5

A much better start against Bogomolov but overall another very unconvincing performance.

If he plays like this at the Open he's not going to get very far.

I suppose McKee will be along soon to tell me he was outstanding from start to finish though.

Andy Murray is his own worst critic. His performance wasn't any where close to honking. It was solid enough, against a very decent opponent.

I didn't watch this match, but I'm willing to bet it also wasn't close to being very unconvincing, not that it would ever need to be to whack Alex Bogomolov Jnr. And the US Open(not "the Open", never, ever, ever "the Open") is over 2 weeks away, how he plays against Alex fucking Bogomolov jnr in the 3rd round of Cincy is of no relevance whatsoever as to how far he will go.

  2. Does anyone know the name of a song from an advert about a year or so ago.... The song had I think just a guitar and very simple drums and a very high pitched female vocal. Can't remember what the advert was for, think it was a pretty mainstream brand like O2 or something. The only lyrics I can remember is something to do with soldiers - although to be honest I'm not even certain on that.

Had the melody stuck in my head ever since I heard it and I haven't heard the song since. I know I've been vague as hell there, but a long shot's still a shot.

Might be this? It's definitely got soldiers in it, anyway.

the bit i think you're talking about comes on at about 2.20

  3. Thanks for your help, McKee. Would it be a good idea to just submerge the iPod in orange juice before I freeze it? Might as well make an ice lolly out of it.

No, that wouldn't help at all. The juice would end up melting, getting you into even more water damage trouble. You'd need to end up putting it in the microeave for a good 4 to 5 minutes instead of just the 3!

  4. Surely if you need the water to get out the ipod then freezing it wouldn't work as the water would be unable to leave the ipod?

It becomes solid and falls out the bottom, where the plug is connected.

3dit: you have to shake it obviously.

  5. You need to get the water to change state and then get it out the ipod. So you could go with dave's idea and evaporate it out, or try solidify in the cold. My mate had the same problem and he solved it by stciking his out on a windowledge and leaving it overnight, but that was in the middle of winter, so who knows if it will get cold enough in summer. Your best bet is probably putting it in the freezer for a few hours.
