  1. Last nights episode was pretty, pretty, pretty meh. The weakest of the season so far. It just didnt work as an episode, but it did have a couple of very funny moments.
Chris Martin can gtf. The Funkhouser brother thing isnt working (but I understand the illness/passing of the Funkser in reality has prob meant this was a last min thing)

Overall the season so far had been terrific..with the 1st episode setting the bar very very high.

  2. It isn't for everyone. I remember giving my old boss the season 1 box set as I thought he would like it (he introduced me to Nighty Night after all) and he was the same - 10 minutes of "what is this all about?" before stopping.
Take the episode Thor from season 2 as an example. Hardly laughed at all during it, ended up on the floor at the end. It was all set up for one big laugh at the end.
Yesterday's was OK but felt a wee bit forced (Larry, Jeff and Leon with their broken moths talking to the Mexicans was a bit obvious).
Ep 3 was directed by Cheryl Hines, for first time ever. A possible explanation to it dipping below usual very high standard of show?!
  3. Theres an accompanying podcast with Pemberton/Shearsmith to go with this episode...worth a listen.

They discuss Sammy The Tammy being inspiration for mascot..( and have a pop at Kingsley)..and the use of famous quotes from Graham Taylor and Fergie.

It's called Inside Inside No. 9.

  4. Entire back catalogue of Curb now available free on my sky box too[emoji7]

Did the same, couldn't wait till tonight. Great start with Mocha Joe getting full force of the Larry. His exchanges with Susie are brilliant.
  5. I recorded and then watched from 2am broadcast...its SENSATIONALLY good[emoji23]

I'll be tuning into Curb Your Enthusiasm on Tuesday at 9.00pm to see Larry David upsetting everyone he meets.
  6. I caught the first 20 minutes and had to switch off - not because if was at Tynecastle, there were good points being made by Hearts fans, Locke etc - but because of these two bams above.
They were discussing the stuff at Easter Road - they were both at the match where a bottle was launched at Sinclair - and Miller "couldnt believe that Hibs dont have CCTV good enough to catch this person" and Bonner " I couldnt believe Hibs didnt have CCTV in the area".
If they were moderately professional, moderately interested in their subject, they would know that Hibs (and Hearts) existing CCTV is very good, on a par with anything at any sports ground in Scotland, including Hampden - but it is not perfect.
What both clubs are installing now at huge expense will put them leaps and bounds ahead of anything anyone else has..................but of course, that doesnt feed their uninformed narrative.
Now I wouldnt mind listening to them if they were vaguely informed, but not to even know the subject they are pontificating on is unforgiveable.
And whoever authorises their contracts needs a coconut on the heid.
Near the end of this programme, while discussing who the panel thought would go through from the 2 semis...Pat Bonner actually asked this of host David Currie..."Do these games go to extra time and penalties David?"
  7. Quite liked the ending. Even Methadone Mick's bit was well done, i.e. he was only in it for 5 seconds, he didn't speak and it was kinda logical he'd end up in a library.
Though they missed a trick with Stevie not having a mid-life crisis and becoming a woman.
Winston: "What are ye gonnae dae next time Stevie...cut yer baws off and come back as yer sister"?
  8. Sorry to be all Buzz Killington but that was a conversation between Tam and some random in the library when he was plucking up the courage to propose.

He complemented how she was a nice quiet woman and then came out with that belter [emoji38]
That same actor was in the doctor waiting room this series blethering pish to Winston before he went in to be told his other leg was to come off.
