  1. EDIT: Forgot to add that if your going to do weight training and cardio there is not point keeping track of your weight as what you lose in body fat you will put on double in muscle.

I'm not sure about that tbh. It's easier to lose 2 lbs in fat than put on 2lb in muscle! I here this kinda thing a lot and i think it can be self deluding. When is started doing weights i piled on the poundsbut that was because i was eating cleanly. Yeah, i'm sure i bulked up with a bit of muscle but more of it was fat.

  2. That Harris Benedict equation is very interesting. A lot of good work on the diet and exercise front could be worthless if you have a binge drinking sesh at the weekends. I was 12 st 4 for about two years even though i was going to the gym etc. but still had a bev on a saturday night. I stopped drinking for about 2 months last year and lost a stone. I now would like to get to about 10 10 so i think i need to can the cans for a while!

  3. Blah. blah, blah...

Ross County have won the league. we will finish comfortably top half. Is there a great feeling at dens? where debts are written off and small businesses get screwed? laugh.gif

In the current set-up we are a middling side who have been fucked over by crucial injuries in the first half of the season.

Big Massive dundee are still scrambling about looking for the first rung on the ladder to the "promised land" .

Morton won't go up and won't go down. Our prospects seem to bother you twats unduly. It's only the first division guys.

Where is big gus's pie thread btw? not as funny as he thought it was perhaps? that's what happens when you scrape the barrel of humour by slagging off kids with Down's Syndrome.

    Fucking asshole.

Poor, poor big city team dundee. They're fucked. Again.

    Hahahahaha sad.gif

  4. Or with you telling Big Gus he isn't actually funny?

I could tell you that. He used to raise the odd titter but when you're reduced to telling jokes about Downs Syndrome kids it's time to chuck it. Oh, and when he actually started claiming to be funny and was all chuffed that Divot mentioned him on the front page, it was kaaa-ringgggeee. It's ran it's course now.

  5. TBH I was a bit depressed on the way back from TFS, but getting back to an evening of Morton baiting has fair cheered me up.

Very Chillaxed here, thanks though Dude.

Put the Bhoys vs Oz game on Sky+, get your WDB scarf round your neck and a few tins of the black stuff down it and you'll be chilled too. X

    laugh.gif

That's an eerily similar reply to the one i just gave you on the other thread!

    Slainte !

  6. And he's not the only dick down Greenock way.

The players must have been pretty knackered - it was an early start watching the Bhoys.

    You're actually a bit of a weirdo ain't you? unsure.gif

You're the easiest wind up target on here. Pure RAGING all the time. How did you guys get on today? I'm sure the likes of Barry and Big Gus will take it on the chin whilst you wet your pants in front of the computer.

    Chillax dude. x

  7. Is that like 'I've'?

You're all over this forum correcting poster's 'English'. Arrogant about your team and now the ultimate arbiter of the correct usage of our language. Mind you Gaelic is maybe your thing?

It wasn't me who started the grammar pish, that was your half-scholar of a friend. I'm not arrogant about my team it just feels good to be top of the league fair and square. You lot wouldn't know about that but there was plenty of arrogance a couple of years ago just before your bottle splintered into dust.

  8. There's a surprise - this p***k on a Greenock related thread. He's just been doing more boasting over on the Raith vs Dundee thread.

It is a very similar story to ours, good start to the season, arrogance abounding and you've been bankrupt once and cheated all your creditors.

As i've said Spuddy, there's no arrogance from me. I think there are five teams who could win the league. The "story" isn't similar to Dundee's in the slightest. Away you and have a wee lie down my man.

  9. They're on the SPL forum as well, having a bit of a boast and a look around.

    Unfuckingbelievable.

Where would that be, you fucking clown? It's not our fault that your lot blew the lead they had two years ago then (rightly) got hammered for repeated cheating of local creditors and fellow member clubs. There are a few good lads on here from Dundee but some of you let the side down badly when what you perceive to be rightfully yours isn't actually earned .

No-one's getting carried away. We're loving being top of the league and because you can't take it you're trying to drag us down to your level.

It's a long, long season ahead and for everyday we're top of the league I'll be delighted with my team and the likes of you won't put me off laugh.gif

For what it's worth i think any of five teams could win it.

  10. Have you read this book clicky. The basis of it is basically what you've described. The author was fed up of constant injuries and after speaking to a few people he became convinced that the running shoe industry is a big con. He ends up travelling to Mexico to run with a tribe of ultra runners who run with only a thin strap of leather on their feet and never (or very rarely) suffer running related injuries.

i've not read the book fishy but i've read some interviews with him. next time i go to the gym i'm wearing my samba. my feet were fine until i bought those daft trainers. i think it's the arch support that done it.

  11. Go to a running shop to get measured up fro trainers and then buy them off the internet (if they are too expensive in the shop). Everyone runs slightly differently and you need to make sure that you are getting the right support or you could injury yourself.

I would also recommend downloading a training schedule from the internet for adistance that you would like to do (5k or 10k is a good beginners level).

If you are having trouble sticking with your training sign up for a race as it will give you the motivation to stikc with it!

hmmm. i had always ran at the gym but in february i decided to get into 10ks etc. went and got fitted for a pair of asics at "achilles heel" for £75. within about 3 months i had plantar fascitis and still have. i'm now of the opinion that the whole specialist running shoe is one big con.
