  1. Failed to get a ticket sadly in pre sale or general sale for front standing. I could have paid £440/each on Ticketmaster (official tour scalpers) but refused to pay that mark up on a £155 ticket. Absolutely pissed off at this dynamic pricing that ramps up the cost depending on demand. I see there are some seated tickets available miles away at £500-£600 each. No thanks I’d rather sit at home and watch you tube clips.

Having seen him loads of times previously from 80s onwards it’s disappointing but I did see home at his peak and don’t fancy watching a screen from the halfway line or stands.

I’ve received registration for the USA tour (March 23 in Milwaukee!) and will try for those on Wed 4pm UK. Always wanted to see him in an arena in the states. Don’t fancy my chances of getting decent seats at face value, hearing horror stories from the Tampa sale of $4k seats, so may have to miss it.

Pissed off at Bruce Inc and Jon Landau who will know about this and should control pricing better. Thought he was better than that.IMG_1658584039.540890.jpg

  2. Rooting for Marriage Story tonight, although 1917 will obviously win.

In order of preference without having seen FvF or Parasite:

    Marriage Story
    OUATIH
    Little Women
    The Irishman
    Joker
    1917
    Jojo Rabbit

Just shows you that everyone has a different opinion. I thought the Irishman was very good and well acted (as you would expect for the cast), really loved the Joker too despite it being a hard watch at times due to mental health issues that the main character had. Tried to watch Marriage Story but really struggled with the Scarlett Johansson character, just really annoying. Ended up quitting as thought it was no more than a made for TV movie. Couldn’t actually believe that it was nominated and had to go back and check it was the same film. Might have to watch the remainder to see if it improves! Also think that Just Mercy should have been nominated but I guess you can’t nominate everything.
  3. I see there's a new Springsteen-inspired film out called 'Blinded By The Light'.  It doesn't look very good though.

All the reviews I’ve seen are great and plan to see it this week. Trailer alone tells me this is going to be worth it.
  4. Really like this album, gave it plenty of listens now and the only one I’m struggling with is “Sleepy Joes Café”. It doesn’t fit into the overall album feel. Heading to NYC soon and plan a long overdue day trip to Asbury Park for a look around some of the sights referenced in his work. Anyone else been before, tips welcome!

  5. Off the top of my head:
Everything ever released by Bruce Springsteen - fairly acceptable bar-room rock, but by no means genius.
Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits - see above.
Is This It by The Strokes - just gash. Tuneless, whiny drivel. Last Nite is not bad, the rest is pish.
There's a Riot Goin' On  by Sly and The Family Stone - maybe I just didn't get it, but I heard nothing on this one that made me ever want to hear it again.
Any album by Belle and Sebastian - twee pish. Just f**k off.
And another vote for Pet Sounds - 12 tracks of filler surrounding one piece of stone cold genius.

You my friend have cloth ears!
