First win against you at Cappielow since a 3-0 win in February 1999, my main memory of which was queuing behind the goal during the game for a ticket for the Scottish Cup quarter final against Celtic a few weeks later.

If we were to look at it the way Dunfermline fans look at their usual routine hounding from us, we’d be labelling you as our bogey team, but in reality you have of course just been better than is over that period.

    Highlights of the last win;

Jeez.... Mind the queuing behind the goal for a ticket.... During the actual game!!!! Hahaha!

Stats, which sometimes mean nothing showed an evenly balanced game. Only 1 stat that ever counts and that's the scoreline.

We were ok on the ball outside the final third but terrible with it today where it matter. We never play 1 up top or didn't before McIntyre punted Rory McAllister.

I didn't really know what to expect from Morton having not played you before. Expected a physical test and lots of high press but that wasn't the case. You have a threat in behind with Jai and the long throw via Strapp is always a good weapon to have. Expected more from Muirhead.

It's clear both sides are still trying to assemble their squads. We need about 3 starting XI players added with good Championship quality or via loans from Premiership clubs. Ton look like another striker is needed along with a bit more creativity and gile in the middle of the park.

    First time at Cappielow.

Spot on with your analysis of us.

I was happy to see half time at 0-0.

  3. Given that we dont have that much knowledge of iredale apart from a couple of performances in the early cup rounds at centre half and no real knowledge of Ross, then it is pretty fair to say that an over reaction to yesterday's team sheet was premature. Ayrshireton is perfectly correct in pointing that out.

Having made the mistake of leaving murdoch out the starting eleven the week before, he appears to have addressed the issue and played with width this time. A number of people were calling for Russell to be given a rest. Others were saying he can't be dropped for a 17-18 year old. Oliver's performance last Saturday was complimented. Many noted him as our best attacking player.

Duffys tombola approach appears to have flukily struck lucky this time. Nothing to do with addressing issues that many had argued needed dealt with.

  4. genuinely feel for all pars fans.

i remember the dark days of 00-01. wouldnt wish on anyone.

we had a pantomime villain in charge whose aim was to sell the ground for property.

this is different althougj i have always had a mistrust of yorkston and having read about him last year Masterton.

clydebank started again. dunfermline could start again in a rather strong east coast junior or senior set up and thru pyramid could be up in pros in a couple of 3-4 yrs. reengage with local community and not chase rainbows with yorkston etc.

ross county and ict are teams whose business models should be applauded. as should many others in divs 1,2,3.

heid oot sand folks. too many full time teams? pish spl product and in general? scottish fitba on the slates? aye buy trust doncaster and longmuir.
