Watched Peasy v Talbot today. You would never know Peasy were bottom of the league with 0 points. Gave a good account of themselves today. Talbot nowhere near the levels they've been at over the years. Number 4 and the goalie were the only ones who looked like they were trying to keep up the standards of the old Auchinleck. Peasy look as if they are improving hopefully get some more points on the board soon.

Great result Peasy. Shire did their best to spoil the party. Onwards and upwards for Peasy. Hard one to take for the Drum who have led the table most of the season.

One of many top class goalies we've had at Petershill over the years.
Danny Moy
Sandy McLean
Gerry McLaughlin
Neil Parry
David Hutton
Scott Black
Steven McNeil
A few older fans will say top of the list should be John Bett who played in the 60s, and wore all black in respect of his hero Lev Yashin.Mikey White was excellent his first season too. A few mistakes crept in after that. But he was a good keeper.

Aye I never saw it coming as our goalie didn’t have a save to make but they probably deserved it as we were so poor
Maybe try give other teams a bit of credit. You turned up today expecting to wipe the floor with peasy. Peasy keeper had zero saves to make. No chance with the goal. I counted 3 saves by the Darvel keeper all be it straight at him. All we've heard all season is watch us go in January when all our hundreds of injuries have cleared up. It's the end of January and now it's the worst you have played all season. Maybe you just didn't get things all your own way today. Peasy were well worth their draw today.

To be fair there was nothing between the two a couple of weeks ago at Petershill with home team edging it the last time.
All about taking your chancesPeasy stopped playing after scoring. One way traffic before that.

Took in game at petershill today , cumbernauld deserved their half time lead but petershill fully Deserved their point In the end with ex darvel player roddy Paterson changing the game when he came on , peasies are improving and very tough tie for us in the Scottish cup away to them
Definitely a game of two halves. Peasy were very poor first half and didn't get to grips with Cumbernauld formation. Change of shape second half and Peasy were well on top. Gave away 2 silly penalties, same as home game v Darvel that cost us. Peasy improving every week and we've competed well with the teams at the top end recently.

Another bizarre equaliser fo Petershill 3-3
Don't see what was bizarre about the third. Good diagonal pass, great touch and cross from Kearney and great header from Paterson. Nothing bizarre about that.

I will go for Peasy defeating a very good Neilston team. I've seen Peasy a couple of times this season and haven't been the least bit impressed with them, so thats a good result for them.
Peasy had an excellent result yesterday 3-0 up and dominating, then the wheels nearly came off when Neilston scored 2 quick goals with still 25 minutes to play. Both teams had players missing from a full strength squad. Peasy are looking stronger as the season is going on. Need to keep putting points on the board.

Neilston 2-3 peasy
very sloppy from us today gave peasy a 3 goal start and in this league can’t be doing that
like prob every team in league we are running on fumes with a bare bones squad at moment ... had to dip into our 19s to help out today .. hopefully bodies are back soon enough to get us back on track
long way to go but would say games like today rules us out of promotion but still may hav say on title with the games left
all the best to peasy who also bought a decent support on a miserable day
Peasy coasted into a 3 goal lead today and then lost 2 sloppy goals within 5 minutes. With still 25 minutes to go I feared the worst after that. Delighted with the 3 points. Some decent play from both teams in tough conditions. Peasy looking a better team now. Hopefully keep it going, another relegation would be disastrous.

Mass brawl, nearly all players and some coaching staff involved. Started by a number of niggly fouls by Peasy's Capuano and Frew's Dallas reacted and squared up to him.
Ref was poor and let a whole host of fouls go before the flare up. No idea in the end if there were cards issued but could have taken his pick !!
Dallas had lost the plot and walked 40 yards to square up to Capuano who was winding him up. Ref was weak and if he was paying attention to the pitch when talking to his assistant the flash point could've been diffused before it started. There were plenty of people in the crowd telling him to watch it.

Outstanding performance from Petershill today. Glencairn had chances in the first half but Peasy went in 2-0 at half time. Then scored a third at the start of the second half and totally dominated the rest of the game. Wasn't expecting it to be honest but delighted the Peasy look to be getting it together for the second part of the season.

Having watched part of the highlights i now think the ref got it right. Jason Elliot down well not to make more of it but the boot does catch him on the face.

Apart from Leydens 2 goals I thought McRobbie was your best player. Dropped off the front every time and held the ball up well. Lead up to second goal was a clear foul for a push on Hardie in the middle of the park. Pretty even game. Liked the bit about usually high bounce, which could translate as it didn't stick in the mud on a soft grass park.

Think I remember a game years ago at Albion Rovers (maybe?) where the ref ref decided to measure the goals and found they were 1inch low at one side and called the game off.

Certainly didn't look like a red to me, but the ref was only yards away so had a much clearer view than any spectators.
He missed a clear 2 handed push on Michael Hardie by McRobbie which led to the move for Glencairn's second goal, and was also very inconsistent with his yellow cards in the second half, Mitchell should already have been on a yellow when he picked up a caution for an atrocious attempt to win a penalty.
I am a little bit mystified as to why we got a ref from Musselburgh tbh.Didn't look like a red to me, was very surprised when the ref pulled it out. Agree with Peasy23. Capuano booked for a clip of Mitchell's heels after Kearney being stopped in his tracks in front of the Glen's dugout, no booking. Then Mitchell had a wee late nibble at Capuano which was an easy booking. Mitchell's dive . Guy should've just walked straight off after that.

Firstly I'm gutted for Willie Patterson and Paul Kelly. Peasy have had some great times over the last 8 years with firstly Willie and Scott Smith at the helm and more recently with Paul. In the first couple of seasons we were so close to winning the Premier league and probably should've, while competing with the big spending Meadow at the time and of course Talbot. Some of the football that team played was the best I've seen in a long time at Peasy. Always attacking and balanced with being solid at the back. More recently the promotion winning team of 17/18 were again a breath of fresh air. Over the years Willie has rebuilt several teams and maintained a decent level of success. As I said I'm gutted to see them go and wish them every success in the future.
Also I think the club have acted quickly and made a fantastic appointment in Martin Lauchlan. As an ex player he knows everybody still around the club and has proven successful in his managerial career. Hopefully that can continue. Having spoken to him recently he still has a great enthusiasm for football and loves talking about the game. Good luck to Lauchy and I hope he has a long and successful stint as Peasy manager.

I like the ball not having to leave the box at a goal kick. Fed up with the Cent Half plodder feeling under pressure and stepping into the box and taking a touch because he is under pressure. Good rule change that
I've always thought if a player steps into the box to play the ball it should be an indirect free kick instead of a retaken goal kick. Only infringement that isn't punishable. As you say the defender can play the ball under pressure knowing they'll get another shot at it. I would prefer this to be the law change. I take it the opposing player still has to be outside the box.

The first time I went to Vale of Clyde in the 80s I'm sure the 6 yard boxes were red ash.

Just reading your league fixture on Saturday got me thinking when the last time St. Roch's would've played Arthurlie in a league game. With Arthurlie having been in the top couple of Central divisions since the mid 80s it must be close on 40 years since the two clubs met for league points. Even without league reconstruction this season both clubs would still have been in the same division in the old super first.

League is so tight. St Rochs are 5th bottom but only have one more loss than Peasy at the top. Nothing between most of the teams in the league. Could come down to fixture congestion at the end of the season that costs someone promotion.
