  1. It's still gonna be pretty short in comparison to what it was. It was only a few months back that he was seen with a shaved head and plus his hairline has been clearly receding for a few years now. Surely they'll need to work something into the storyline so that he ends up with short hair/bald as Taker surely wouldn't wrestle in a wig . I thought after seeing those photos that he'd return with the short hair in an updated incarnation. The wig looks bloody stupid.

Perhaps they could have Kane set his head on fire.

That's probably a bit too violent for PG though.

Or Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake could jump him for some reason.

  2. Yes it was a joke :P Mason Ryan will be world champ within a year.

For about a day - then Cena will take it off him ;)

I made a point on here about jobbers a few weeks ago. Why can't we bring back proper jobbers the way we used to have? Imagine watching CM and Ray (for example) beating up jobbers for a month then going ahead at the PPV? Surely that would be better.

I couldn't agree more about the jobbers.

Now they try to fool us into thinking jobbers aren't jobbers at all by giving them entrance music, "personalities" etc.

I've been watching early 90's WWF and the jobbers are ace. It seems to have been the done thing to wear striped tights when you were jobbing in those days.

Edit; I just watched King Mable beat up 3 jobbers at once, marvelous.

  3. Just watched the last part of impact, as MOTD was reaching the more boring shit. I think that Hardy botched the chair shot. Anderson was holding his head, facing down and kicking into the mat. Is that not standard practice when someone fucks up a move on ye?

It was surely a botch. Chair shots to the back of the head cause you to go mental and kill your wife and bairn.

  4. Hey yo.

After months of grumbling about WWE being boring I'm glad to be watching some good stuff at the moment. Please Mr. McMahon, don't shoot your bolt to early with John Cena and The Nexus, this has the potential to run (and be interesting) for a while.

Edge being transfered to Smackdown is a good move in my opinion, they where begining to look a bit threadbare on the main eventer front.

  5. They're not going to squirm out at all, which should make the coming weeks and possibly months very entertaining.

I can see it starting with them forcing Cena to beat up R-Truth and to wear the proper gear, including new trunks.

I'm all for R-Truth getting smashed.

  6. Hey yo.

That's the first WWE PPV I've enjoyed for a while. More of the same please Mr. McMahon.

I'm glad that Paul Bearer swerved. Kane is his laddie and Undertaker tried to drown him with ReadyBrek a few years ago.

Aw the greetin' bairns when Cena lost was a laugh too. It'll be interesting to see how they squirm out of Cena joining Nexus.

  7. Me too, but if I was involved a sport in which I could see there was plenty of money sloshing around and very little of it was going to the players I'd think that wasn't right.

Once more, that's not the point. You can't just go around breaking the rules and taking bungs, they are 100% in the wrong.

  8. The only thing I am confused about, is why they got a title shot when they've never wrestled before. At least they should've called the Guns out before they put the shopping promo out.

Aye, your right there. MCMG and Beer Money cannae go on wrestling each other forever but like you say, another tag team getting into the mix should at least have some momentum before getting a title shot.

  9. the fuss over this spot fixing thing has gone out of control. at the end of the day if the players have a chance to make some money bumping dodgy bookies then fair play to them. to see guys like nasser hussain and boycott getting up on the moral high horse about this is a joke, where's the morality that they are getting paid more for commentating on the match than the pakistan players get for actually playing in it.

i like cricket but at the end of the day it has to be asked what the point of it is? there are zero consequences of winning or losing, there's always another series starting and the next money generating match is always round the corner. if they are serious about ending this kind of thing they should create a world test series and cut back on the amount of one day tournaments as the game is so devalued at the moment that you can't blame the players for trying to make an extra buck out of it.

also there also seems to be a bit of pakistan basing here. matt le tissier admitted booting the ball out the park during southampton games for spread bets on shys which is exactly the same as what has went on here but i don't see anyone demading he be sacked from soccer saturday. and as often as you hear about botham's "miracle" innings in 1981 you almost never hear that the aussies had bet against themselves in that match and the achievement is never mentioned as being diminshed by it or the austrialians such as lilee are never demonised because of it.

That means f**k all! I'd play any sport for a living at minimum wage.

  10. I was thinking of when the Sandman was "blind" and he didn't answer the door or even leave his house for ages, while promoting ECW.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

As for Impact, Beer Money destroying the FBI could be a sign of what's gonna happen to the EV2.0, it all depends how long they are gonna stick around, if it's only till Bound for Glory then Fourtune will crush them, probably. If they are planning on keeping them around then it'll be a narrow defeat for the extremists.

Interested to see how RVD's story is gonna go. Obviously Angle will win the title at Bound for Glory, I wonder if he asked for the time off. I hope they bury the Nash, Sting and Jarrett story quickly. Maybe with a losers get fired handicap match with Nash and Sting fucking off at the end of it, that would be ideal for me at least.

Ah yes, a fine angle that was.

I don't get what it has to do with the popularity of wrestling though? Wrestling has never been unpopular.

  11. Can't agree I'm afraid, does it mean that Goldust has to wear women's clothing outwith his wrestling? Or for the Miz or Alex Rilley have to be complete assholes outside the ring?

That's one of the reasons I prefer TNA to WWE, they aren't strict on the kayfabe thing. I don't think it's necessary, maybe it was when wrestling wasn't popular and it was a way of promoting it without using outside advertising but now, I don't think it's required.

Sorry to be pedantic but wrestling has always been popular.

  12. Fortunately it isn't to do with results. But Amir has been bowling an inordinate number of no balls. There was one today which was the best part of a yard past the crease, and the umpires definitely had a word with him. I hope this story isn't going where it looks like it's going.

    Oh Dear...

I didnae see any of the test today as I was playing my final league match of this season.sad.gif

That no-ball you describe sounds incredibly suspect, no way should a player of Test standard be that far off. Hasn't there also been times this week that the bowler's front foot has been quite far past the popping crease? Pakistan and controversy are never far from each other unfortunately.

  13. Just a heads up. According to Jonathan Agnew on Twitter, there's a story breaking about Pakistani players and betting on the England series. Draw your own conclusions.

Bloody hell! It's always something with Pakistan, are they becoming more trouble than they're worth?

It's just broken on the BBC website, it's to do with no-balls according to them.

  14. This is quite strange, I was actually just watching this video of her and Goldust ("The artist formerly known as Goldust"laugh.gif )when I read this. Sad news, she was a brilliant heel character.

    http://www.youtube.c...feature=related

Also, watching this video, how the f**k did Dustin Rhodes do it? He put himself through some hell and embarrasment over the years, I actually feel sorry for him here!

From what I've heard from shoot interviews it's always difficult for the son of a successful wrestler to be accepted by his fellow pros. They tend to feel that they have to work twice as hard as others to prove that they aren't being booked because of their lineage.
