  1. Didn't know what to expect approaching yesterday's match but i thought falkirk couldn't get any worse, possibly a tight match and a score draw. After first 20 minutes i did think falkirk were keeping the ball well and passing and moving however seemed to run out of ideas. Going 1-0 up at the right time with CalGall in right place at right time. Second goal resulting in Gallagher striking the post but the correct cross in from mccabe to swing the ball away from goalkeeper 👏 . Something we didnt do in first half. And ultimately the same with the 4th goal from the free kick. Ball comes in falkirk panic and its a goal.

Great result.  However more pleasing is seeing Salim get in amongst it was good too see the full squad group together after tue fourth goal. A mention for murray johnston very mature performance and a couple of outstanding saves. 👏

I was prepared to come on and give congratulations to cove a late goal like that has been coming our way in the last few weeks.   As the game goes on we sit deeper and deeper.  The last few weeks we have got away with it and today cove kept at it and it's probably won them the league.

My reason for not offering congratulations today is the reaction to the airdrie fans at the final whistle.   That arsehole who landed on someone's knee and injured his groin (so funny to see him carried off) and McAllister had no need to give big licks to airdrie fans after that.  But most of the staff were away on the pitch or facing airdrie fans (in the family section) giving gestures when Ian Murray approached to shake hands after.

The celebration was over the top but if it was the other way about the airdrie bench would have been the same. That was a potential title winning goal.  So if it was airdrie there would have been a pitch invasion.  I wasnt expecting anything from the game but the manner of how we conceded is a sickener. Airdries history in the play offs is not anything to brag about so im not holding much hope for them.

We keep going as this is the best team we have had in years.  Come on Airdrie ♦️ 💪

managed to get a few heads from work, with there partners and weans to buy tickets also!  Every supporter going should make some kind of attempt to at least get 1 or 2 along with them.

    I'm still buzzing.

    100%.

Plenty of folk saying they used to go years ago or have a soft spot for Airdrie. So nows the time to show it.

  4. Looking forward to this game now. A combination of our league form and scottish cup fever.  A cracking day. Would also be hoping we can bolster the squad this weeek as the games are coming thick and fast. With the pace we are playing its a matter of time before niggles start creeping in or even suspensions.

Just reading through the last few pages of comments and there's definitely still a sense of entitlement coming from many Falkirk fans. Definitely makes for enjoyable reading.

Airdrie dominated the game today and played the far better football. We have a better team by miles. It's clear as day. Yes, Falkirk created some good chances, but didn't take them. Airdrie created chances and did. Nothing to do with poor defending. It was excellent attacking, persistence and clinical finishing.

The quality of the second goal was superb. The chopped off goal will make good viewing back as I don't think anyone other than the ref k ows why it was chopped off.

And Kenny Miller. 😂 Just hilarious watching him rant. Clearly thinks he's the manager. That's going to work out well.

McCann was rank rotten today, it was hilarious. For him to get put off by some shouts from a few Airdrie fans shows how simple it is to put him off his game. Just amateur stuff. Clearly not as good as he thinks he is.

Overall a very pleasing afternoon and we march on. ♦️

    Amen ♦️

Can’t wait to get it up all the diddies when the regime changes and we start our ascent back to our rightful place.

It’ll make this all worth it.

    Zimmer down shug.

You are a full time team with 3000+ season ticket holders.

Getting thumped most weeks in the seaside league. Invest in a bigger bucket and spade.

  7. Apologies for taking so long to get my bit in but i think i speak for all league one fans when i say get it right up you. The arrogance from falkirk fans for years is finally coming back to haunt you. A mediocre mid table league one club. Get your seat belt on its gona be a bumpy ride.

  8. For a change im starting to look forward a Saturday. The good results have been backed up by good performances. Which is rare in this league. I do hope the diamonds faithful can start coming back over the next few months. Expecting a tighter game than the previous encounter at Airdrie. My prediction EF 1 - 2 Airdrie.

  9. Airdrie were far from great today and huffed and puffed for 80 minutes. We made life difficult at times and did not show the composure of previous matches. Too win any game in that manner is great and to also get the points in the bag when not playing well is how you win leagues. The referee tried to stamp his authority early on and the Dumbarton players/manager did not take heed. However salim did take heed which turned out to be the winner 😂 looking forward to next werk! Interested what makes you say that? I've not been to every match but been to most and from the matches I've been to I'm not sure I could give you a single game where I'd say we played 'good football' - if by that you mean nice, passing, attractive play for any more than a 20 minute spell.

That's not a criticism, just an observation, we've been in this league so long I couldn't care less how we play as long as we win and get out of it. But I'd say we are a team who are solid defensively, committed and on a good day have pace and energy in forward areas that can be a threat. I've not seen the slightest sign that we are some slick passing side that after 35 games or so just haven't clicked yet.

Maybe a bit generous and could have said, have shown signs of a good footballing team.  In the early games, clyde at hamilton, bohemians and clyde at home, most of the football was great. Even roy looked very promising.

  11. Delighted with the points but Slightly worried about the lack of clear cut chances we created. In the small snips of play when the ball was actually on the deck being passed it was good football and the combo from gal and mackay proved that.  We are a good footballing team I just hope the players can gain faith in themselves for the run in. We are due to give someone a skelping

  12. We are now entering the last quarter and I cant help but feel uneasy as it seems Murray is very much still 'experimenting' with the first team. Callum Gallagher must be gutted when ally roy comes on before him. A common theme is not enough is getting provided to the strikers yet Robert's and hawkshaw who are very much attacking midfielders are sitting on the  bench. Yesterday could have been the turning point with raith and falkirk losing and would have gave us half a chance for the title. Frustrating to have such a good team on paper who have proved when the ball is on the deck we can play good football. But the soul is getting sucked of them, and the fans by constantly punting long balls. My 11 year old son could defend long balls when the striker is facing the opposite way. Amateur stuff. We have players in the bench who can make an impact but murray cannot for the life of him figure that out. Rant over and what looks like the title chace over also.

£8 for a 4 year old seems steep.

Back in the day, lifted over the turnstile.

I am assuming you have twins?

I take my invisible hat off to you if you can keep one/two four year olds happy for 90 plus minutes at the fitba. I have lingering memories of my dad taking me to matches and how bored and cold I felt after about three minutes. Mind you that was in the '70's, well before the advent of screen time, other than Glen Michael's Cartoon Cavalcade!

Twins is correct. The attention span does not last long. Sweets and chocolate prolongs the inevitable.

Would much rather be in your position than ours!

Strangely enough if you asked me at the start of the season would I take being 3rd in February I would have said yes. However it's the manner in which we have been first and starting to spill back. Potentially peaked too early. I just hope the players believe in themselves and go on another run. We play raith and falkirk respectively in march so that should shape how the league might end up finishing
