Dennon Lewis absolutely HAS to be one of your four from us (lets face it our allocation is getting maxed out) and absolutely HAS to go striaght in.

He wasnt a Dan Turner or TOE who were rapidly emptied with minimal game time. Lewis got a lot of game time culminating in that particular incident which is available via gif by someone on here.

The jobber description is also extremely apt for one Prince Buaben who looked promising but lacking match fitness when he arrived, then quickly descended into utter mediocrity as it became obvious he was running down the clock to his next gig.

Marcus Haber too, put in less than the minimum required effort during each and every footballing endeavour he was asked to undertake for us. He never even carved out a shot on goal by accident. Quite something to never even fluke being right place right time even once.

read somewhere ph is still looking to bring in another 1 or 2 players, hopefully front men, no disrespect to dan turner but a strong forward in the mould of the jak and an other would be good, read mr turner can be a bit light weight and my concern would be that he gets muscled out more than not.  also read we need to wait till july for a possible jak return hop thius is the case and watford dont want him trying his trade elsewhere and we can cut a deal to bring him back. instant bairn heroes are few and far between.

should have moved the Central logo down 6 inches so it doesn't interfere with the steeple motif I think, but still great.  Love the retro white neck and sleeve cuff.

That was my first thought also, nice kits but sponsor should have been slightly lower down.

That and the steeple should be blue on the away top.

  4. Falkirk FC is delighted to announce the signing of Ruben Sammut on a season long loan from Chelsea FC.

The 20-year old midfielder is the current captain of the Light Blues’ Under 23 side and has also recently featured for Scotland Under 21’s.

Ruben has been with Chelsea since the age of 8, progressing entirely through the Stamford Bride side’s renowned Youth Academy

A powerful and commanding central midfielder, Ruben adds a presence in the middle of the park and will join the rest of the squad for the start of pre-season training tomorrow.

Speaking of his latest signing, Paul Hartley, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to bring a player of Ruben’s pedigree to the club.

“Ruben has been brought through and trained at an elite level having been with Chelsea from such a young age.

“I fully believe he has all the attributes to make a big impact in this league and I am really looking forward to working with him. He has massive potential and I think the opportunity for him now to experience first team football will be of huge benefit to all parties.

“We are closing in on further signing targets and fully expect to make more announcements before the end of the day.”

Maybe not too apparent for those at the game but we had a great chance in the 1st half when Longridge was running through and he had Harris (I think) on his right in acres of space who would have had only the keeper to beat but, for some reason, decided to turn back into the defenders and lost the ball.

There seemed to be a lot of that today. Lots of charging with the ball straight into players instead looking for a pass. Certainly gives off a vibe of not really trusting one another to do the job. Lots of players trying to Roy of the Rovers their way to glory in the meantime forgetting that they're pish.

    January cant come soon enough.

Hearing on good authority we are looking to take Jack Hamilton on loan from Hearts if the opportunity arises. Got to be better than Thomson surely?

Would be happy with that. I was reading that Scott Bain has fallen out with McCann at Dundee I'd be open to making that move happen also.

    MANAGEMENT TEAM DEPART

Falkirk FC has come to a mutual agreement with Peter Houston, James McDonaugh and Alan Maybury that will see the football management team leave the club with immediate effect.

In the interim period, Technical Director, Alex Smith will take charge of the first team, assisted by senior players, Mark Kerr and Lee Miller and Academy Director, Michael McArdle.

The Board will take time to recruit the right management team to lead the club forward.

The Club wishes to thank Peter, James and Alan for the enormous amount of work they have put in to improving the football department at The Falkirk Stadium over the past three years.

Under their stewardship Falkirk FC has enjoyed some memorable occasions, including the 2015 Scottish Cup Final and two successive runners-up finishes in the Ladbrokes Championship.

Peter Houston, commented: “I’d like to thank all the players and the backroom staff for their undivided support through the last three and a bit years.

“I also have to mention the office staff and ground staff at the club for all their backing and the Board of Directors for their support.

“We are disappointed with the start to the season and the board and I have come to a mutual agreement that to get the club moving again it is best that someone fresh is brought in.

“It has been a decent three or so years; there have been some real highlights, including reaching the Scottish Cup Final and finishing second, but we just fell short of the goals that we all hoped we could achieve.

“It wasn’t down to lack of effort and I’ve got to thank the players again for all they have put in.

“I must also mention the supporters. It has been a wee bit rough recently, but through the last three years they have given great support to the club. The fans have been magnificent.

“Finally, I’d just like to wish the club the very best moving forward. I hope whoever comes in can give the club the success it deserves and that we have been striving for over the last number of years.”

Margaret Lang, Chair of Falkirk Football Club, said: “We are all extremely disappointed that we haven’t been able to progress forward this season and as a result we have come to a mutual agreement with Peter, James and Alan.

“I have nothing but admiration for the job all three have done for our club and wish them the very best in the next chapters of their careers.

“We will now work to recruit the best possible management team to get the club back to winning matches, climbing the Championship table and moving towards the Premiership.”

  8. Like most of our signings, I await to see what the player does for us, not anyone else. He can't be worse than the charlatans we have at the moment who call themselves centre halves....if he is.....by fuk, a 25 minute game whilst injured isn't generally clever to take as an opinion....

Injured is certainly what he appears to be most of the time.

To top things off he's not a fan of the old plastic grass either by the looks of things. Sounds like we're onto a winner.
